I've read all but the last book released in June. Loved the series.

Valentine / vampire/s
*For Valentine, read a Valentine-themed book, 'Valentine' in the title or series name or author or character name starting with V
* For vampire(s), read a book from either shelf: GR vampire/GR vampires/SOS vampire

I live in the Netherlands so at least 6 hours ahead of East Coast if I got that right.

Blood Mosaic (MPG Vampires) also FS
The Book of Azrael (tagged Vampires x222)
Balanced on the Blade's Edge No Vampires but may work for FreeSpace I think

Way of the Wolf
Rating: 3.5 stars
Read: March 1 2025
Review:
Luna is a mid 40s single empty nester property manager. She is a werewolf who has left that life behind. She takes a potion that prevents her from shifting.
Luna's meets Duncan whose is using a metal detector on the property and lives in his van. She feels that he is a werewolf who doesn't belong to a pack. The owners of the apartment complex send their son Bolin to intern with Luna and learn the business. He comes from a line of Druids.
I did enjoy this story and the writing. I will continue with the second story.

How it Fits: MPG Vampires
Review: This was a weird experience for me - it was captivating at times but also frustrating. The world building was sooo unclear. It's like Earth but not? The so called MMC is supposed to be a God but also doesn't behave like one. It ended with a cliff hanger but I'm not invested enough to continue. The book could have used a tighter editing and made shorter though.

Book: The Healer’s Way (Book 6): A Portal Progression Fantasy Series
Pages: 357
Date Read: 4 Mar
Rating: 4 stars
How it Fits: FMC Victoria
Review:
Mikael is still beset on all sides by enemies while trying to regain the Bulatov family lands and prestige. Outworlders continue to invade, and the other aristocrats have him under trade embargo. Still he faces each day with an upbeat attitude tackling each problem as it comes. More enemies just mean more possibilities for trophies. More outworlders just mean more opportunities to hire new mages to further his plans. The pigeon spy corps continue to grow. All of these books are full of action, humor, and the unique prespective of a 300 year-old archmagister healer starting over with his soul in a new body. Will definitely continue with the series.

Review: I am really enjoying this series. Its a fun cozy series. In this episode Lucy's parents return from Egypt - they are archaeologists. Her mother has brought a hand mirror from one of the digs (she doesn't remember doing this).
Lucy is looking for a new shop assistant and in walks the perfect candidate. Lucy looks into the mirror and finds a girl trapped within. The story is Lucy wanting to get the girl out of the mirror and embracing her new found power. Rafe the vampire assists Lucy in this quest.

Review:
This is the final book in The Warrior Chronicles series. Cayan and Shanti are pressing forward to force a final confrontation against Xandre when she is kidnapped by a group of his inner circle. For all his sight and careful planning, even Xandre can not predict what will happen now. A great end to the series although the ending felt a little rushed. I think I just expected a larger battle with all the discussions of the enemy army amassing. I loved seeing Cayan and Shanti together. Their relationship has come a long way in the series. Overall, a fun blend of action, romance, friendship, and humor. 5 stars

Review: I remember watching this series in the mid 2010s. Quite enjoyed it. I think the book is different as I dont remember some of the things that happened. This is part of a trilogy and I will definitely continue with it. I have read a few of Blake Crouch recent novels and really enjoy his writing.
This starts with a FBI agent coming to Wayward Pines to look for 2 other agents that have disappeared. He uncovers that this place is not what it seems. Very interesting Sci-Fi concept.

Review: It was an ok book - the romance and suspense both were underdeveloped without nuances. I had a friend who loved this series and but unfortunately, I didn't have the same feeling. Everything was too easy, no character development. A little disappointed.

How it Fits: #15 in October Daye series found in Best of UF Series
Review: A mellow book compared to the previous installments in that the conflict doesn't directly concern October. The focus on October and Tybalt's wedding was nice and it was demonstrated throughout how they make each other better. The amount of character/relationship growth from the first to now is amazing. This is one of the very few series that has consistent overarching plot with the same characters still going strong.

Requirement: Choose a book using one of the following options ...

Review:
I've had this series on my tbr for awhile because I have enjoyed other series by Breene. The world created was intriguing and in general seems well thought out although there isn't as much detail in book 1. I love Kieran despite his arrogance and manipulation, but Alexis is mostly annoying at this point. One moment she's frightened and trying to hide and the next she shows some courage protecting her wards. Hopefully, I'll like her more as her confidence grows. All in all, it was a good start to the series and peaked my interest enough that I will continue. 4 stars

Book: A Little Too Close by Rebecca Yarros
Pages: 347
Date Read: Mar 13
Rating: 3 stars
How it Fits: Solo Male on Cover
Review: It was an ok read. I wanted to read Yarros outside of the Empyrean series. It had everything for a quick read - minimal conflict, minimal character growth. I didn't read the first in the series but I didn't miss it much, so that was good.
