Here are the upcoming space opera books that I have on my radar right now. Do you know of any?

Friends Indeed by Weber and Lindskold. 5th book in the series about the treecats, adjacent to the Honor Harrington series. Release date March 4, but I might wait to see if my public library gets it.

Diviner’s Bow by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller. Liaden Universe series. Release date April 1st.

Fenrir by Flint and Spoor. Not in the same universe as Boundary and its sequels, but the free preview of the eARC on Baen is giving me the same vibes. Release date June 3.

Mackey Chandler has been working on the next book in the Family Law series, but he doesn’t give out release dates or have preorders. The last time he mentioned progress he guessed “a few months” but he has had health problems recently.

Friends Indeed by David Weber came out yesterday. Easily found on Baen and Amazon, but I’m still not seeing it on Kobo. Baen support said they uploaded the book to Kobo last week, so it should be there. I’ll probably end up buying it from Baen, but right now I’m on a free trial of Kobo Plus so I’m reading as many of those that look interesting as I can this month.

Judith Moffitt mentioned on Facebook that she’s currently editing book 4 of the space opera series that starts with A Line in the Sand. We discussed A Line in the Sand in 2021.

Do you mean Spacer: A Star Spanning Space Opera Science Fiction Saga? That’s marked as published last September.

That's what I thought.....and it's also the time when David seems to have read it....feels like the book is getting a push at the minute. I thinks its absolutely great when we stick up for authors and books we enjoy...as long as its open and truthful.

.....and four ratings on Amazon does not constitute a good buzz...

Mackey Chandler estimates his newest book in the Family Law series will be published in about a month. Currently his ebooks are only available on Amazon, because they are all in KU. He’s looking into ways to provide them elsewhere, but I’m not holding my breath.

Edit: title will probably be: I Never Applied For This Job
