If Shawn were still alive, I think he would disapprove of Will's choice to follow "the rules" and seek revenge. Even though Shawn followed those same rules himself, I believe seeing the cycle continue through Will would make him realize how damaging it really is. As a big brother, his instinct would be to protect Will, not push him into the same life. Shawn’s role in the community may have been tough and influenced by violence, but deep down he probably wanted something better for Will. The way he appears silently in the elevator shows how much he’s reflecting on his past choices too. I think if he had the chance, he’d tell Will to break the cycle.

I agree with your perspective that if Shawn were still alive, he would disapprove of Will’s choice to seek revenge. Even though Shawn followed “the rules” himself, seeing Will go down the same path would likely make him realize how damaging that cycle is. The way Shawn appears silently in the elevator shows that he’s reflecting on his own past choices and possibly regrets them. Will learning that Shawn had used the gun adds another layer—showing how much Will didn’t know and how easily the cycle continues. As the elevator ride unfolds, each ghost pushes Will to question what he thinks is right. I think Shawn, deep down, would want Will to break the cycle and choose a different path.
