Mrs. Nelson invites Sam to a tour of the White House residence and she brings her sisters with her. As they’ll need to move in less than two weeks, it’s a daunting task. But as they tour the residence, Sam and her sisters get excited about the new home, seeing the benefits for their family. How do you think they’ll adapt? What do you think will be the effect on Sam? Did you learn anything new?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I was surprised by Sam's reaction to the benefits of living in the White House. I think Sam was slowing coming to terms with her new reality and instead of hating everything about it, she is starting to see that, maybe, things will work out.

Frankly, I’ve been to the White House but not the residence and had no idea how big it was. The staff area is so, so small! I was happy to learn that it will provide so many more family opportunities for Nick and Sam.

The kids will quickly adapt because it will be facilitated. Imagine having a pool and movie theater available to them and their friends. Holiday celebrations will be magical. There is an upside that I hadn’t thought about.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Change is almost always a balance of good and bad. This was a chance for Sam to focus on the good that could come with this change for her family.
