I started it yesterday and I'm almost halfway through by tonight. It's really fun so far -- it's giving me big Murderbot vibes.

Sounds great!

Finished. Loved it. The author cites Martha Wells as an influence in the acknowledgements so hey, I wasn't wrong about the Murderbot vibes!
I think this is getting my top vote for the Hugo -- though I still have two more to read (assuming I can get The Tainted Cup somehow.)

I've started it. I haven't read the blurb, so while I guessed that the setting is more technologically developed, it was a nice surprise.
I'm 20% thru, yes definitely Murderbot vibes but it is both grimmer and surprisingly pettier. Plus some small anachronisms if this is a 'medieval setting' - I fully agree that an author can shape their world any way they want but like (view spoiler)

I've read 4 of the 6 Nebula titles including this one, and I didn't find the field very strong. This was probably 3rd of 4 for me.
