Hi everyone!
Time to decide which book we'll read for our next group read.

For future reference, how long after the previous group read do you guys want to wait before starting a new one? I waited a week, but let me know if you would rather start immediately after the previous group read. Or otherwise.

We'll use this discussion to discuss what to read/the time frame. I'll also create a poll since that seemed to work ok the last time.

Books:
The Spellshop
Trickster's Choice
The Mists of Avalon
A Dark and Drowning Tide
For She Is Wrath
Don't Let the Forest In
Water Moon

Other suggestions are always welcome.

The poll has been posted :)

Blue Ghost | 116 comments I'm in the middle of a move, so pardon that I've been a bit MIA. I really enjoy having a cool down period between reads, so the waiting a week works perfect for me.

I'll make another book suggestion for our 5th group read!

Ok, we'll wait a week in between each then. Whenever you have suggestions you can put them in this or any future group read discussion and I'll add them to the list. I should probably think of some new suggestions as well that aren't entirely fantasy. We need some other genres on the list. Also, you dont need to prioritize this group over life. Good luck with the move. Hope it goes smoothly 🙂

From the poll, we have one vote for each of these books:
Water Moon
Don't Let the Forest In
For She Is Wrath

Is anyone willing to change to a different book? Preferably one of three mentioned above.

I personally dont mind which book we choose.

Stephen Shoot, I missed the poll but I'd vote for Water Moon. Sounds super interesting. They all do really, but that one is speaking to me the loudest 😆

Ok. Looks like we have two votes for Water Moon now. So I guess that will be our next book. Does that sound good to everyone?

Next we'll have to decide on the timeframe. How long do you guys want for this one? My suggestion is the same three weeks as before. Let me know what you think.

Stephen Works for me

message 9: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 7 comments That works for me! So sorry I didn't participate in the last reading I got behind on some work assignments. As long as I can get my hands on the book I should be able to finish it in that time frame.

Blue Ghost | 116 comments Water Moon it is! I can probs finish it within 3-4 weeks 👍

Thanks for letting me know!

The time frame will be from tomorrow, June 4th to June 28 (Saturday). Its a little over three since I dont think it makes sense to end it in the middle of a week. I'll create the discussions soon. I'll be splitting it into parts (like the last one) since it allows us to share our thoughts while reading and helps to prevent spoilers for those who may not be as far along.

Also, what genres/type of books are you all interested in reading for future group reads? I want to take your preferences into consideration when providing suggestions for us to read.

message 13: by Stephen (new)

Stephen I'll read anything really, but my favorites are probably horror and literary fiction.

That's helpful, thanks 🙂

message 15: by Madelyn (new)

Madelyn | 15 comments I read fantasy, mystery, and historical fiction :)

message 16: by Blue Ghost (new)

Blue Ghost | 116 comments Ditto to horror and literary and historical fiction. I'm trying to read more fantasy and sci-fi. I do read some non-fiction, of which is almost exclusively nature centric.

Ok great, thanks for responding. This will be helpful.

Stephen Same with the nature centric non fiction, one of my favorite genres don't know how I forgot that one haha.
