100 fictional (book) characters VS 1 gorilla

Nico Di Angelo would totally use his shadowy stuff to defeat that gorilla.
Definitely Alex Bailey from The Land of Stories, she has like, unlimited magic ability.
Brystal Evergreen from A Tale of Magic, literally THE Fairy Godmother.
And lastly, Enna from Books of Bayern, because she speaks to fire so she’d sooo set that gorilla ablaze.

But then again, that book is like nearly a century old, there's a trilogy that's based on it and you can probably figure out what happened from LOTR. I still don't want to be that person to spoil something without warning.
Ok he has his dagger that he called Pincer- I think. He wields it as a sword actually because of how small he is. Anyway, he kills I believe dozens of huge spiders with it, saving his dwarf friends from certain death. He did this with the ring, which I don't think Tolkien had even yet considered to be evil. He came up with that concept for LOTR. So, in The Hobbit, he just has a cool magic ring that makes him invisible with no drawbacks. Also, as a Hobbit he's able to creep around without making a sound, meaning the gorilla won't be able to hear him as long as he doesn't crash into anything, or see him as long as he can't see his shadow. He definitely wouldn't want to be there though, so maybe his lack of motivation other than him and his companions to survive would be a problem. He might only get involved if those stronger than him fail to defeat the gorilla, or if he's certain that he's the only one who can prevent casualties by killing the gorilla. He does take great risks in The Hobbit to prevent all out war to middling success, such as when he gave the Arkenstone to the Elvenking and Bard so they could bargain with Thorin for a twelfth of his riches, preventing war (unsuccessfully, instead the elves, dwarves and humans are united by their distain for goblins).
TLDR- with his invisibility ring, his soundless walking and his dagger he's able to kill good. The gorilla won't see Bilbo coming.
I'll go first: I'd say Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games as a defense
