I would say God Bless You, Otis Spunkmeyer and The Original Daughter would work.

Main page genre :) So when you are on the books page, It will be in the genres area before you click show all for the tags.

For example,
(in the picture above) has the following MPG's: Fiction, Historical Fiction, Contemporary, Literary Fiction, Asia, Family, Historical, Audiobook. Asian Literature, and Adult.
Main page genre :) So when you are on the books page, It will be in the genres area before you click show all for the tags.

For example,

in the box below this comment (where you are going to put your comment) there are blue hyperlink type writing above the box that says "add book/author"
if you click that, and put info in there, you can choose Link or Cover
Link is just text: The Original Daughter
Cover is the cover:

let me know if that worked!

1. I requested buddy read threads here, https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/.... Is that okay? I got confused because of this link https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
2. And about this rule, "Buddy reads must have a minimum of 4 comments to count, and comments must be detailed, and about the book.", does this refer to 4 comments total or 4 comments each minimum?
3. Also, regarding the BOTM and BR points: for example, if I read Game of Thrones as a BR and its also BOTM, how would the points look like? and what number do I record the points in the BR/BOTM column?
4. Do previous BOTM books count towards points? eg from June July etc
5. Do I need someone from my team to join me in a BR or is a thread enough?
Thank you so much!
Sheepy wrote: "Hello Alaina! I have questions regarding buddy reads. .."
Hello! Okay, here are my answers. Let me know if you still need more clarification.
1. The first link is definitely where you request the buddy thread to be made/created/updated. A MOD will do this. The second link is all the planned BR threads for that month. This shows everyone within the group what people are planning to read and if they want to join, they can.
2. 4 comments is the minimum per book. You can always add more comments.
3. If a book is both a BOTM winner for that month and an active BR thread, I would suggest adding comments to the BOTM thread first. If you make the minimum comments there, you will get BOTM points. BOTM's are active for that month and up to five days of the next month. BR threads are only active after exactly two weeks from the last comment or start date.
So, if A Game of Thrones was a BOTM the points would look like this:
If it was a BR, the points would look like this:
In the BR/BOTM/Neither column on your team's spreadsheet, you would pick what your book was. BR, if it was active and you made the comments. BOTM, if it was active and you made comments. Neither, if it wasn't either a BR or BOTM within this group.
4. Past BOTM threads are no longer active after the 5th day of the next month. If you want BR points, I would suggest finding a buddy to read it with and requesting an active thread.
5. BR's just need to be within this group with someone from this group. They do not have to be on the same team as you. Though the points would be nice if they were.

Also what's the banked books sheet for?
Thanks

Yes, you can add your two books. The banked tab can be for books you've read and work for a character/task that you don't have. Up to you.

It looks like the formula on the spreadsheet to calculate BR/BOTM books isn't working correctly. (Not that it super matters since the spreadsheet is really just for our tracking).

It would probably help if the formula in that column was correct. omg. I'm so sorry. This has been fixed on all spreadsheets. Let me know if it it still doesn't work correctly.

Carrie wrote: "how do you find a tagged book? For example looking for the Tagged Shapeshifter book"
You could try looking here: https://www.goodreads.com/genres/shap...
Also when you click on a book, for example, Echo Fort. Where you see the MPG (main page genre's) -- Fantasy, Romantasy, Romance, Fae, Dragons, Enemies to Lover, Fantasy Romance ....more
Click ...more
Then you will see Vampires, Fiction, Audiobook and ...show all
Click ...show all --> this will take you to all the tags.
You will see shapeshifters is a tag on the first page - tagged by 4 people. You won't always find the tag on the first page, but you can always do a quick "CTRL + F" and a search window will pop up. You can type the tag you are looking for and just go through the pages. You will have to hit CTRL + F on each page.

If a book has more than one author, you can use any author's initials.

For author's initials in MUSHU, could I take the translator's initials instead? The book was originally written in Arabic but I'm reading it in English

Book title doesn't have a Z but the series title does... curious
Ashley wrote: "Question - for Z in title - can it be actual title or can it include the series name?

Z would have to be in the book title, not the series title. Remember, any edition works. Therefore, the book would work for that task using this edition - Sangre y acero: Leyendas de Thezmarr. Libro I

Unfortunately, no for that one. The task is specific for the evil stepmother.
