This thread is to discuss Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson.

^^ Sure you can jump right into any buddy read even without signing up. In fact I just came here to do the same thing lol I got this book today unexpectedly as a gift :)

Hi! Checking up today! Unfortunately, I can't start reading this book this week, but I'll try to read it in the 3rd week of this month. I heard this book has a nice plot, and I was so very intrigued to read it as soon as possible. I've been craving reading mysteries and thrillers lately, so hopefully, I'll enjoy reading it:>

I can't start reading it right away either. I am piled up in so many books lol

It's okay, D.L.! I'll start reading it as soon as I finish reading the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder book. I want to read my first Holly Jackson book, and I am so excited!

I started reading this before the challenge, so I'm joining the discussion now. I like it so far

Finished. Enjoyed it.

(view spoiler)[ A quick read. I like the premise of her trying to find her killer and finding out secrets that her family has been keeping.

What a cruel person Sophia is, only thinking about money and and defending herself by saying she just wanted to make her FIL sick when she actually was trying to kill him.

He brother, what a mess he is. Murder, even if it was an accident but she was his sister and finding out that his own father a cop helped him cover it up. And to top it off, destroying the very thing he wanted, The company.

Dianne, what a piece of work she is as a mother. Controlling and judgmental. She wants everybody to be perfect but she wasn't. I wish that a confrontation between Jet and her mom to tell her because of her blaming Jet for the death of her sister made her the way she was.
Her death in Billy's arm was so heartbreaking.

Billy - Loyal to the end. What a way to find out that not only you have a half-brother, but your father loved him more than you. His love for his other son made him kill someone, his little sister and Billy's love. He thought that he would be grateful, killing his sister so he can have a company, not only wrong but made his real anger come out.

It really was a nice twist that Jet died before knowing the whole truth of her murder (hide spoiler)]

I really enjoyed this. I cried at this, and I think we all need a Billy in our life.
