Hi everyone- First, I want to apologize for the crap show in July. Myself, along with the other MOD's, were in lengthy communications with Goodreads support and were unable to rectify the glitch that wouldn't allow me to post last month's Wheel of TBR. I am so sorry for this but I am hoping to get back on track this month. I do want to remind anyone who participates in our challenges that we have a Discord- I turned to that avenue last month to post the Wheel of TBR and I will continue to do so as well as all other challenges we host in this group. The nice thing about Discord is we have a lovely group of members there that participate strictly through Discord and we have discussions in real time which is something we cannot do here. That being said I'd love to have all of you join the Discord where we can grow this community in other ways. We will still be posting everything here as we always have but if you're looking for more in the discussion department please feel free to join us. I will share the Discord link in an email to all members. Another plus to the Discord is the Discord-exclusive challenges! One in particular that has been very popular with our members is the bi-monthly Musical Read-a-thon- right now we are doing Mamma Mia! In September you can look forward to Bettlejuice! So, please take full advantage of all The Reading Frenzy has to offer by joining our Discord!

Secondly, you'll notice the graphic for Wheel of TBR has changed. That is for a couple of reasons. The first being that the problem with last month's challenge was to do with the image addresses on the photos I use so in order to limit the chances of a glitch happening again I decided to use one image with only one image address. The second reason being the format I share the challenge in here doesn't really work for Discord so instead of making two different set-ups I now have just the one for both sites. And third, I just really love the vibes of this graphic and I think it's more aesthetically pleasing!

I hope all of you will stick with us as we traverse this sometimes bumpy road because we love what we do and we love sharing our love of books with you all!

Now, as for the prompts I will list them below for anyone who may not be able to see the graphic. There were 5 prompts again this month:

1. Choose a book with food-related words in the title.
*Specific foods work as well as the word "food" but anything you can relate to food is also acceptable such as fork, eat, cook, cafe, restaurant, dinner etc.

2. Choose a book with no people on the cover.
*no people is self explanatory but this also means no people parts either lol so no hands, feet, eyes and so on.

3. Read a book set in a fictional place you wish were real.
* You're not limited to pleasant or cozy settings. If the book is set in hell or a magical junk pile and you wish it were real, it counts!

4. Choose a card from the deck: Read a book you keep seeing everywhere.

5. Read a book with a male main character.
*If a book is Dual POV or has multiple POV's, as long as one of them is both male and a main character, it counts.

Ok everyone- lets get back on track this month! Share those TBR's!

Nat (waterfallz) | 655 comments The book I picked for this month actually fits all of the prompts for this month, The Pumpkin Spice Café. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of this one.
