🍂 🕯️ 🪐 Maddie 🪐 🕯️ 🍂 (maddie_93629372) | 3 comments What do I do when I feel like having a B (88) makes me a failure? I struggle a lot with feeling good about my grades much less myself and people (a guy who used to be one of my best friends/rivals) calls me a nerd constantly. And this class is a subject that I’m good at but the teacher is really hard and calls on people even when they are VERY CLEARLY feeling bad (like you could tell I felt horrible one day and she called on my three times) and I’m working on doing bonus points but I’m just so sick of school. PLEASE HELP!

Bethan (Kai Azer's Version) | 93 comments ahhhhhhh this is so true
I got mainly 7s and 8s in my mocks last year and I feel annoyed that I didn't get all 9s because that's what my brother got and I'm always top sets and one of the main school 'nerds' but I swear I know absolutely nothing
also those types of teachers suck because they are always like "I only pick on you because I know you know the answer" BUT I DONT OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE PUT MY HAND UP!!!

Dragon Queen | 285 comments first off it is not a bad thing to be a nerd, I'm a book nerd (amongst other things) and I really don't care, this could just be me but if anything it's a compliment, they are calling you smart. with the grades thing how I think of it is as long as it's over a C I'm good and I can relax, plus if you do still have not super good grades just think about how many times you will be asked your GPA after school, that answer is 0.

Vindhya | 88 comments Hiii , first of all that guy doesnt know what he’s talking about because honestly if you think about it being a nerd means to be learned and knowledgable , to have discipline. ANDD secondly, its completely alright to feel the way you do feel, been there done that, but making it a constant isn’t. Do i make sense? Tying your worth to your grades never ends up good, not to invalidate your feelings though, how you’re feeling and why youre feeling it is always upto you , and I’m not saying its something that needs to stop NOW but its something you need to phase out little by little. Give yourself a pat on a back because you got a B , which is SO close to an A, use it as fuel to get to the A you so crave next time instead of beating yourself over it. You know what you’re capable of , dont let a setback fool you! Good luck, and I’m praying for you lovely xx

︵‿︵‿୨♡ Juliette ♡୧‿︵‿︵ | 15 comments heyy!!! I can relate. first of all, make sure to take "nerd" as compliment. and I do know how an 88 can feel like a failure. and I know it sounds dumb, but grades are really not that important. in my experience, they get better the less you stress yourself. just make sure to have something besides school that u have as a compensation (such as reading :)) and plss try not to define yourself over your grades. I did this the first 7/8 years of school and it's so unhealthy! but it is also so hard to change this.
but especially when your sick of school, maybe try to concentrate on something different for some time (still do something for school but change your main focus).
good luck, hope this helps and it get's better!!! xx
idk if I made a point but yeah...
