Not crazy at all! Honestly, it’s totally okay not to vibe with a popular book. I actually liked it, but there are other romantasy books I’ve fallen harder for 👀 everyone’s taste is different and that’s what makes reading fun.

Yeah, totally agree! Maybe it’s bc I previously read ACOTAR, The empyrean series which are series with really big character developments, long love arcs, profound characters… and everyone recommended to me but it just didn’t click 🥲

Well that’s what I’m talking about, for me it didn’t have anything too special… Kai fell in love with her so fast and… well besides Kai being cute and else, the book itself was predictable and I felt like reading fan fiction 😶 but there’s much better book boyfriends out there

The banter was nice and all, but I don’t read books for the banter, I read them for an ORIGINAL plot.

Girllllll I couldn’t finish it!!!!! I was DONE with the repetitive quotes, nicknames, the cheesy lines before even HALF THE BOOKKK, I was so done, and when I was scrolling through TikTok everyone seemed to loved it and I was like WDYM.

I think it’s light book compared to the ones a read before, I think it’s a cool choice to start in the fantasy world, but c’mon it’s literally like reading a FAN FIC I SWEAR

Maybe like I said it’s because I previously read another series that really care on the development, the plot, the characters, their thoughts, their feelings and powerless felt superficial to me, it’s the first book this year that I genuinely didn’t like, wouldn’t recommend

I’ve been thinking about reading it, but I don’t think so after reading this. I can’t stand books that plagiarize off other books. Especially if it’s going off Hunger Games! No no no you don’t try to hurt Hunger Games! They are the best! Sorry, hehe I just hate it when people do that, and I get passionate about books I like.

I liked the first book. I can't get past the first few chapters of the second book. The desert thing really irks me. I didn't like how she described the villagers. It was an ick for me.

I liked the 2nd and 3rd book more than the first I felt like the first and even kind of the 2nd was rlly repetitive and predictable the 3rd book imo was rlly good tho! I agree tho it does feel like a fanfic and is defo overhyped

I love it! It’s one of the first fantasies i read and it was such a slow burn but it was so good, at the same time i also kinda think it copied the hunger games a bit but idk
