Chisago Country Sheriff Danny Braintree refused to consider any other possibility than Zach had drowned despite others offering alternative points of view. Why do you think he was so resistant…having to connect with the FBI, truly believed he was right or just plain stubborn?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Braintree is territorial and also resents Nikki for Hardin's "early retirement".

I think he wanted to believe he was right, but his stubbornness in the face of evidence to the contrary was just plain ego.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments This guy drove me crazy. Stubborn is an understatement when describing him. For a while I was wondering if he was covering up for someone.

Moondance (moondance120) | 23 comments Braintree reminded me a lot of Hardin. In fact, he references Hardin as his reason for not wanting Nikki's help or advice. I thought he was a horse's patootie.

This gut was all ego and show with &$%# for brains. He was stubborn for all the wrong reasons and none of it had anything to do with poor Zach being found. Maybe the child was third on his list of priorities.
