Liliane Briarwyn | 1 comments Hello everyone,
I’m Liliane, an author in bloom and a lifelong reader of historical romance. I’m especially drawn to quiet heroines, candlelit stories, and romances that carry both tenderness and resilience.
My bookshelf is full of Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, and the Brontës, and more recently, I’ve loved Emily Windsor, Mimi Matthews, Lisa Kleypas, and Anna Lee Huber. I also write my own slow-burning, poetic stories, and with a touch of magical realism, though I’m here more as a reader than a self-promoter right now.
I’d love to know what you’re currently reading or which historical romance you always return to when you need comfort.
Looking forward to sharing the quiet joy of books,
Liliane 🌿

Alicia Cameron (Clarissa & the Poor Relations)
* Elizabeth Camden
Candice Camp (The Courtship Dance)
Loretta Chase ( Lord of Scoundrels)
Adele Clee (A Simple Case of Seduction)
Miranda Davis (The Duke's Tattoo)
Anne Gracie (The Perfect Rake)
* Emma Jensen (A Grand Design)
Alicia Johnson (A Dangerous Deceit)
Betina Krahn (Brides of Virtue series)
Edith Layton (The Duke's Wager)
Margaet Locke (The Demon Duke)
* MJ Putney (The Rake)
Tracy Anne Warren (The Bedchamber Games)
Susan Wiggs (The Charm School +3 other favs).

Some of above characters cope w/ substance abuse or a learning disability. * means award-winning.

Elizabeth Camden's have spiritual references, but not usually preachy. IIRC she has a couple RITA awards. One or both MCs usually struggle with an ethical dilemma. My favs.: Against the Tide, Beyond All Dreams, Into the Whirlwind, The Spice King.

HappyBookWorm2020 | 4292 comments Hello, Liliane, and welcome! Some of my favorite authors are Kelley Armstrong, Georgette Heyer, Seanan McGuire, Joshua Moehling, Sean Dietrich, Catherine Ryan Hyde and Shelly Laurenston/G.A. Aiken. I read a little bit of almost anything. The best book I've read recently is The Physician of Ninevah by Glen Cooper (will release Sept. 3).
