Okay, guys, which idiot thought of the saying, "sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me", like, no offense to anyone over here, but i just want to know what the hell came over them to think of such an idiotic saying like this.

I think whoever made that was def NOT a teenage girl. Let me guess it was a teenage boy. 🙄 They aren’t exactly the brightest.

I was in WORLD HISTORY once, and the guy that sat next to me asked me if Cincinnati was a country. A whole COUNTRY. not a citi, not even a state. they're not Einstein to say the least

My primary school teacher used to say it to me. 10 yo mes response was "where have u been?" To this day I still don't know of a place where it's true.

I Can say from personal experience that words can hurt you.

But I think that that saying means: words can only hurt you if you let them.

I’m not saying that words won’t hurt, I’m just expressing my interpretation of that saying.

I’m also not saying it’s true.

i totally disagree with that saying - like words can hurt MORE than actions sometimes. ever heard of verbal abuse??

Actually what Rowan said is probably true, BUT I feel like when it’s used that is not quite how it comes off. Especially not when it’s being said to a bunch of teenage girl.
