YA LGBT Books discussion

I'm back here again, trying to figure out what I can do to make this group useful to the members. Participation, even in the picture polls, is really low. Almost nothing on the books of the month. Few reads on the stories.

So clearly, it's not serving a useful purpose to most members.


Is there anything you do want this group to do? Anything that would bring you here that we can set up or arrange?

If you have ideas (and better yet, would help with them) let me know here please.

Does that include the book of the month voting, or mainly the recommendation threads?

I do like the book of the month voting and the writing prompts. I have to admit that I get so wrapped up in the day to day details of life that I simply forget about participation until the next month rolls around and the process starts anew. Which is no excuse. I'll make an effort to participate more in future. In addition to the writing prompts, perhaps we can allow writers to post excepts from works in progress for feedback and suggestions from members.

That's a fun idea - I'll see what I can set up.

I am not at all certain of the modern teen preferences for interactions (far too old) :D

Would teens here prefer to interact through polls?
Prefer photos?
Want to work on writing?
Want to vote on topics versus specific books?
Want to vote on topics AND specific books?
Specific types of characters?
