Could you please recommend a book where we start the story with the FMC in a long-term relationship with a man she has been with for years. They moved in together, live together, all of that, and then they break up (for whatever reason). And then she goes through the whole process of a broken heart and healing, and then she meets someone else and falls in love. I think I'm in the mood for something messy and sad.

Well this is not exactly what you described, but it is messy and sad, and is sort of what you are asking for. Regretting You by Colleen Hoover. I really loved this one.

I have recently read book called reckless roses and it gave similar vibes ; the FMC is in a toxic relationship and the brother of her toxic boyfriend has been in love with her since they were children and he is also her childhood best friend

Annie, my debut novel doesn’t check those exact boxes, but it definitely falls into the category of messy and sad. And, it has a sequel.
