amara_gibsie and claires wife💋✨💍 (urgirl_amara) | 428 comments I really want to become a mental health therapist, and to do that, I need to complete my GCSEs over the next two years. The problem is, I’m not sure what the best way to do that is. Homeschooled GCSEs are very expensive, and I don’t know if it’s the right option for me or my family. On the other hand, taking them at school would be free, but I have so many fears and anxieties about going back.

I find it very hard to concentrate in a classroom setting, and I’m scared of being bullied by both teachers and students again. I’m also really insecure about my body, and I often need things explained to me slowly and clearly to understand properly. I worry that if I go back to school, I won’t be able to learn the way I need to, and it will just make everything more stressful.

At the same time, I really want to follow my dream of becoming a therapist, and I feel stuck. I don’t know whether to try homeschooling again, take the risk of going to school, or look for some other option I haven’t thought of. The uncertainty is overwhelming, and it makes me feel stressed and anxious almost all the time. I want to make the right choice, but I honestly don’t know what to do.

⭐wish⭐~school hiatus~ (dwisha275gmailcom) | 129 comments I mean, does online schooling still count as home schooling? And of it doesn't, i would recommend that if you're really anxious about school. But overall, i would recommend that you do go back to school, because one day, when you end up (coz i truly believe in you!) achieving your goal as a mental health therapist, you could show your journey as an example to your patients as to how you bounced back from difficulties.
