Vindhya | 101 comments For me snow country and a thousand cranes by Kawabata, decay of angel by Mishima, malgudi days by r.k. Narayan , poetic works of Wordsworth (tons of good stuff) , I’m also quite enamoured by hardy’s ‘far from the madding crowd’. Murakami’s the wind up bird chronicle is one of my favourites, the waves by Woolf, J.G Ballard and premchand’s complete collection of short stories is an amazing read everybody must read at least once in their lifetime, and finally my all time favourite Amadeus by shaffer!

Kristina Kamaeva | 85 comments My favorites are:
Cyrano de Bergerac and Captain Fracasse I don't know if the English translation is same good as the Russian one.
I've read A Hero of Our Time several times. I liked the conflicted protagonist.
Eugene Onegin is another Russian classic, and it's written in verses. Alexander Pushkin is not less famous as Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. Apparently we regard him as the fountainhead of our literature ;)
