his 'data' is epitome of cherry-picking. the supporting bio narratives similarly chosen. I found nothing in the 'take-away' category and about half way through felt I was wasting my time.

It's true, I only finished it because my dad kept wanting to talk about it. It goes in such circles, and definitely doesn't have much to say... hence the circles. And even reading it without being an expert on the subject(s), I could tell it had been seriously reaching for and over-inflating certain points (then restating them several times to make up for the missing substance) just to suit the argument. This book thoroughly convinced me that the author wants to push a point without actually proving it and nothing else. Just like a rhetoric essay exercise in school.
