Tori (Talktalk) | 33 comments As I'm nearly finished reading the Immortals series I was wondering if anyone could suggestion a good supernatural romance to read until Ms Coles next book :) although I might just read the series again as I've loved these books so much!

Mari (marismutduchess) Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series is a fun read. I enjoyed the books....not as much as Coe's IAD but entertaining just the same. The first in the series is a bit lame but the pace picks up in the second book.
When Darkness Comes (Guardians of Eternity, #1) by Alexandra Ivy Embrace The Darkness (Guardians of Eternity, #2) by Alexandra Ivy Darkness Everlasting (Guardians of Eternity, #3) by Alexandra Ivy Darkness Revealed (Guardians of Eternity, #4) by Alexandra Ivy Darkness Unleashed (Guardians of Eternity, #5) by Alexandra Ivy

Ilse Snell | 121 comments Yes Tori,
the BDB series will have have you addicted with sleepless nights. Also the Highlander series of Karen Marie Moning is very very good... testosterone filled highlander warriors, natural born alpha's that can wield magick and time travel... need i say more?!
oh, yes.. the plot and characters are also very good.

message 6: by Ilse (new)

Ilse Snell | 121 comments oh, the other day, I read "If you dare" by Cole... and it was so good!!!
at first i thought, "ok, so seriously, there is no way that the same author can score a double whammy and captivate me outside the Lore world". I was so wrong... Good thing i didnt bet on it...
I really liked it. Though it's not PNR... it's still a romance. The characters were classically Cole.

Hi Ilse. It's funny you should say that you read If You Dare. That's the first book by Kresley Cole that I read. I liked it so much, I decided to take a chance and read A Hunger Like No Other. The rest is history, as they say. :)

Or Karen Chance her Cassie Palmer series is really good which has a side series which starts with , the offshot series (in my opnion) is actually better then the Cassie Palmer one, but they are both good

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments Lol i meant to say starts with Midnights Daughter, but it cut it out, oops!

message 21: by Tori (new)

Tori (Talktalk) | 33 comments Thanks Ladies for your recommendations I will add them to my to get list, looks like the kind of books I love!

Mollie- I have already read Gena Showalter, Lords of the Underworld series and I love them can't wait for the next installment this year! :) The Brotherhood of Blood Series looks great!!

message 22: by Ez (new)

Ez (ezrah-rah) These are more urban fantasy than paranormal romance, but they do contain some romance, along with mystery and steampunk elements. There are only two out in the series so far, but another book is coming out later this year. I really liked the first one and I'm going to start the second one soon!

Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger [image error]

Suzanne, "Soulless" was awesome. I hope you like it!

I'd never heard of "Dying Bites." I just added it to my to-read list, though.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments It was on my recommeneded list on Amazon because of the Ilnoa Andrews book I had ordered, and it looks really good, but no one I know has ever heard of it, but am so tempted...

And also Dark Time (Mortal Path, #1) by Dakota Banks by Dakota Banks, I am tempted by that too.

I know, Suzanne. I have sooo many books. But I always want more!!!

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments Ever since I went on this website aswell my list to read has expanded rapidly! Not that I mind, I love reading, especially PNR :)

message 31: by Tori (new)

Tori (Talktalk) | 33 comments I can't read them quick enough, this is such a fab place for recommendations! its great to find so many like minded people I really adore PNR books

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments It is, I honestly have so many books i now want to read that I didn't know existed before! This websites great I don't know that many people who like PNR, or who admit to it anyway!

I don't know why people don't though, it annoys me when people think you are not as intelligent as them because you read romance and PNR books. I think as long as you enjoy it, then why judge?

Grrr rant over!

OMW! i fully agree! like they think that you're not meeting the IQ prerequisite just because you like happy endings and choose to read about a world where anything is possible and real nice alpha males do exist. and they actually fight for their families. bastards! i really hate it when people think they're better than you based soley on what you read. Reading snobs man. Makes me want to trow-up on their feet and run away like a 4yr old.

message 35: by Tori (new)

Tori (Talktalk) | 33 comments I TOTALLY agree with you Ladies! when I'm reading my books people tend to literally judge it by its cover. I'm a full addict and don't care who knows it lol ;)

Ez (ezrah-rah) Ilse wrote: "OMW! i fully agree! like they think that you're not meeting the IQ prerequisite just because you like happy endings and choose to read about a world where anything is possible and real nice alpha males do exist. and they actually fight for their families. bastards! i really hate it when people think they're better than you based soley on what you read."

I agree! It really makes me mad. I hate how lit-snobs downplay the romance genre and make it seem like no one reads it but desperate, Fabio-obsessed housewives. I've seen interviews in which romance authors said that people came up to them during book signings and asked them when they were going to write a "real" book, which I think is really offensive. Romance is the best-selling book genre hands down. I wish it got more respect.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 309 comments I agree, and I think PNR gets it the most, when someone sees you with a PNR book, they seem to think "oh vampires, how silly" or something similar. That bugs me. I think it takes alot of effort and intelligence to write a good PNR book, for example in IAD she has created a whole new "universe" with different species which are all seperate and distinct yet you understand how they all function together. How is that not a "proper" book?

I have read aload of all the classic books and things like that and still do, and I enjoy PNR just as much (probably more!) and I don't understand why people have to judge.

Romance Rules :)
