They died in that car crash all of them were in and Lissa saved Rose. I can't remember if they ever mentioned them by their first names. Her brothers name was Andre though.

well,back to the topic-i said i wouldn't mind if lissa dies but that would make rose go crazy(like victor's brother),and rose is grat so i wouldn't like that.and i don't think richelle mead would kill lissa off cuz she's kinda big part of the story.i think lissa will eventually be queen.

Sometimes people get caught up in the situation, Lissa has alot of stress and pressure. If you related the books to an authors view of the real world, you can see Lissa as like one of the Kennedy's or something, a debutante in high society, who's best friend is a tomboy from middle class. Inevitably they'll be self-centered, because the people around them feed that persona.
