Today's my last day at work before I'm off for the holidays and for unpacking after my move. I plan to hit the boxes hard tomorrow. I'm also going to make a trip to my local library to donate some books and some VHS tapes. That should clear up alot of space around my area. And then a large chunk of it will end up in the attic. I hope to be on the road and headed to Houston, TX on my birthday. I'd really like to spend it with family. Otherwise, it'll likely be uneventful.
Happy Birthday Thursday Heidi, hope you are well rested so that you can enjoy the day.

But what does it mean?
"
you could've guessed :)
that's happy birthday.

I had 7 hours of heavenly sleep last night, Jim, and I loved it! :) I plan to sleep in tomorrow and the next day... and all during my vacation. Thanks for asking! Cute puppy cake.

Have a safe trip, Heidi. And have a great b-day!

I hate moving so much, which is why I plan to die in this house. You must be exhausted. Yay for lots of time off and the chance to settle in somewhat. What's your new place like and why did you move, enquiring minds need to know. :D
Have fun storming the castle in Houston!
Her birthday is Thursday? Crap, I thought it was Friday. Glad someone reminded me.
Hell, my wife had to remind me last Saturday it was my dad's birthday. I really suck at remembering people's birthdays, except for Jaime's, whose birthday happens to be the day after mine.

Lori, the new av is a pic my friend Susie took on my birthday a few years ago when she was in town visiting, so I thought it was appropriate to post as the current av.
The new place is really neat. It's also familiar. I've moved in with a friend - we both needed to save a bit from this past year - he recently divorced and wants to pay off all the debts from his marriage/divorce, and I want to buy a house, but not until all my debt is clear (I don't have much) and not until I've saved at least a down payment.
It's within walking distance from work. Robby gets along well with his dogs. They make cute little puppy piles! And for right now, Robby likes to retreat into my room and stay on the couch where I made him a comfy resting area. They have a large backyard to roam around in and explore and chase squirrels... and during the summertime, the garden is beautiful!
It also has a back deck and a patio dining area, a front porch, a back mudroom/laundry room, an office area, living room, 2 bdrms, a much bigger bathroom and kitchen than my other place, and best of all, he's a neat freak like I am, so I know the place will stay tidy and that makes me super happy. Plus, he's constantly doing home improvement projects. And when he's not working or working on the house, he's hanging out with his girlfriend so I'll definitely have some quiet/private time.
He offered to paint my room a pale boring blue, and I told him to leave the pale turquoise paint on the walls. I know they'll look nice in the room once I get everything in place. To quote my designer savvy friend, "OH!!! Keep it! Turquoise is the new beige." Who knew?!! The pale blue paint, in the meantime, went on the walls in the hallway.

If you end up with a spare minute or two, let me know. I'll be around.

GRANDMA?!!"
That's called "sarcasm." Look on the bright side - from your photo, it appears you have a good 10 years on me. I'll never see 50 again.

I'd say you have a good 25 years on him Heidi.

Oooff!
What can I say? I'm a terrible judge of age, even my own.

And how... Remind me to keep my big mouth shut.
As if I've any room to talk. At the tender age of 52, I'm completely grey. Imagine a Grecian-formulaed Morrissey and you're nearly there.

Btw, I LOVE the domo-kun cake, Sally! That's fun.

I had a feeling it would stick.
No worries, Clark. It was funny. Plus, I'm in a good mood. :)
Plus, my boss just asked me if I was going to be 26. THAT really made my day.

Bun - where is happy happy joy joy from, we've been saying it so long in this house I've forgotten where we picked it from.
Jackie, really now? Everyone knows that's from The Ren and Stimpy Show!!!
Now, everyone, say it with me... you eeeeediot!
Kidding... ;-p
