Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Ha! Thanks, RA, Julie, Larry, & Abigail.

Today's my last day at work before I'm off for the holidays and for unpacking after my move. I plan to hit the boxes hard tomorrow. I'm also going to make a trip to my local library to donate some books and some VHS tapes. That should clear up alot of space around my area. And then a large chunk of it will end up in the attic. I hope to be on the road and headed to Houston, TX on my birthday. I'd really like to spend it with family. Otherwise, it'll likely be uneventful.

I had 7 hours of heavenly sleep last night, Jim, and I loved it! :) I plan to sleep in tomorrow and the next day... and all during my vacation. Thanks for asking! Cute puppy cake.

message 14: by Her (new)

Her Majesty (hermajesty) | 122 comments I'm bright-er today, so never mind that!

message 15: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I suspected it was likely "Happy birthday," but one can never assume these things. Thanks, Her!

message 16: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm going to Houston Thursday, too! I sure hope it's a lot warmer than here (~10).

Have a safe trip, Heidi. And have a great b-day!

Happy Birthday Heidi!

message 18: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Oh that's cool.

message 19: by Lori (new)

Lori Great new AV Heidi!

I hate moving so much, which is why I plan to die in this house. You must be exhausted. Yay for lots of time off and the chance to settle in somewhat. What's your new place like and why did you move, enquiring minds need to know. :D

Have fun storming the castle in Houston!

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Her birthday is Thursday? Crap, I thought it was Friday. Glad someone reminded me.

Hell, my wife had to remind me last Saturday it was my dad's birthday. I really suck at remembering people's birthdays, except for Jaime's, whose birthday happens to be the day after mine.

message 21: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Cool, Larry! It'd be neato if we ran into each other, but I doubt I'll be there before you leave town. Plus, it's pretty huge. But if it DID happen, that'd be cool. :)

message 22: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) That would be very cool. I'll be there until Saturday morning. Hotel in Woodlands.

message 23: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Ohhh... hmmm, then there's a super slight possibility we could meet up, but it's definitely possible! And that's better than impossible.

message 24: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Sally!!! That cake is so CUTE! It looks like masticated guts... n stuff. :)

Lori, the new av is a pic my friend Susie took on my birthday a few years ago when she was in town visiting, so I thought it was appropriate to post as the current av.

The new place is really neat. It's also familiar. I've moved in with a friend - we both needed to save a bit from this past year - he recently divorced and wants to pay off all the debts from his marriage/divorce, and I want to buy a house, but not until all my debt is clear (I don't have much) and not until I've saved at least a down payment.

It's within walking distance from work. Robby gets along well with his dogs. They make cute little puppy piles! And for right now, Robby likes to retreat into my room and stay on the couch where I made him a comfy resting area. They have a large backyard to roam around in and explore and chase squirrels... and during the summertime, the garden is beautiful!

It also has a back deck and a patio dining area, a front porch, a back mudroom/laundry room, an office area, living room, 2 bdrms, a much bigger bathroom and kitchen than my other place, and best of all, he's a neat freak like I am, so I know the place will stay tidy and that makes me super happy. Plus, he's constantly doing home improvement projects. And when he's not working or working on the house, he's hanging out with his girlfriend so I'll definitely have some quiet/private time.

He offered to paint my room a pale boring blue, and I told him to leave the pale turquoise paint on the walls. I know they'll look nice in the room once I get everything in place. To quote my designer savvy friend, "OH!!! Keep it! Turquoise is the new beige." Who knew?!! The pale blue paint, in the meantime, went on the walls in the hallway.

message 28: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yikes.

Heidi wrote: "Clark wrote: "Happy birthday, grandma..."

GRANDMA?!!"

That's called "sarcasm." Look on the bright side - from your photo, it appears you have a good 10 years on me. I'll never see 50 again.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

I'd say you have a good 25 years on him Heidi.

Jim wrote: "I'd say you have a good 25 years on him Heidi.

Oooff!

What can I say? I'm a terrible judge of age, even my own.

message 32: by Heidi (last edited Dec 15, 2009 12:35PM) (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I don't think I've ever been called "Grandma" before now, not even when I dressed as one for Halloween. I must be looking old these days.

message 33: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) No don't be silly, Heidi.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments You're not, Heidi. Clark is just bad at jokes.

Jackie "the Librarian" wrote: "You're not, Heidi. Clark is just bad at jokes. "

And how... Remind me to keep my big mouth shut.

As if I've any room to talk. At the tender age of 52, I'm completely grey. Imagine a Grecian-formulaed Morrissey and you're nearly there.

Abigail (42stitches) | 150 comments It's the romanization of Japanese. I wish this computer had kanji, it would've looked cooler.

Btw, I LOVE the domo-kun cake, Sally! That's fun.

message 37: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Ha...Clark, Jacks has Morrissey issues, despite some intervention...

message 38: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I may call Heidi Grandma for the forseeable future.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Yeah, a little Morrissey goes a long way, for me.

message 40: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments RandomAnthony wrote: "I may call Heidi Grandma for the forseeable future."

I had a feeling it would stick.

No worries, Clark. It was funny. Plus, I'm in a good mood. :)

Plus, my boss just asked me if I was going to be 26. THAT really made my day.

message 41: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I used to work with a man whom we all called Grandma.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments That's a weird nickname, Larry.

message 43: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I agree, Jackie.

message 44: by Knarik (new)

Knarik Happy Birthday!!!!
and thanks for all the polls! (:

message 45: by Lori (new)

Lori Heidi, your new place sounds fantabulous! Large, neat, and other doggies for Robby to play with in the back yard.

Bun - where is happy happy joy joy from, we've been saying it so long in this house I've forgotten where we picked it from.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I think that's from the Animaniacs... Bun?

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Jackie, really now? Everyone knows that's from The Ren and Stimpy Show!!!

Now, everyone, say it with me... you eeeeediot!

Kidding... ;-p
