Write in 2014 discussion

Hey! My name is Paige, but most people call me Tink. My favorite color is purple, I believe in karma, and coincidentally, today is my birthday! How weird is that?

Most of you know me, but if not- sucks for you. Guess you'll just have to get to know me. :)

GOALS FOR 2010

General Writing Goals:

-Write 250 words every day
- If I don't write 250 words every day, make them up the next day or whenever I write again
-Post on my blog somewhat frequently
-Stay away from Facebook while trying to write
-Stop slacking off!

Soulfire/Heartfire/Spirtifire Goals

-Finish editing Soulfire
-Begin sending out queries for Soulfire
-Finish Heartfire
-Begin editing Heartfire
-Begin Spiritfire and hopefully finsh it

Resolutions:

I swear to not work on any other stories, no matter how much they might tempt me, until I have finished writing my trilogy.

I swear to do my best to write something every day, not matter what.

I swear to check in to my topic more than I've been doing in Write in 2009, and to visit others and provide support.

I think that's enough goals to last me for awhile. Haha if only I had Brigid's work ethic.

Great goals, although I find straying from the writing path to other stories helps my creative gears keep turning.

I understand- and I don't mean short stories, poetry, etc. But I can't start a new novel midway through my trilogy. Soulfire and Heartfire will end up in the DEAD STORIES folder on my desktop. 0.0

If anyone wants me to decorate their cubi, let me know. I'll be happy too, and I think people are pretty happy with what I've done it the past.

Sure, Andrea! What kind of theme are you going for?

Paige: As far as decorating, I think I understand the color scheme. What kind of furniture do you like? Modern? Antique? Just comfortable? Eclectic? Let me know, and I'll definitely help ya out.

For your cubical name... I like to do things that's use alliteration, (i.e, Tink's Terracotta Tower) or things that describe my mood at the moment (i.e, Paige's Room of Frantic Writing). Or even something simple, like Dee's Cubical, Andrea's Den, etc. Also, Roni's is fun- slightly random, a little funky, but still interesting. (It's Veronica's Asymmetrical Bubble, I believe)

It's about what you want.

With all the requests, I figured I better decorate mine before it's too late...

A study/writing room, a bathroom, a kitcheen, a lounge area, and an ideal closet. :) Let me know what you think.

Argh! the black hole of facebook! It's where my creative and free time for writing disappears--I think I'll make that a mental goal to stay away while writing.

Hmmm....I like the homey, cottage-at-the beach look. Clean lines, light colors, pastels, wicker furniture. I definitely need a good, sturdy writing desk, a comfortable chair, a reading nook, bookshelves, a great view of the ocean (or other water). I guess I'm think Cape Cod beach house :)
