Roger Zelazny discussion

What should we read for February? It's that time again & we're short on it, as usual, so please nominate some books by the middle of the week & I'll put up a poll.

We're reading The Courts of Chaos which will complete the Corwin Cycle. Should we start on the Merlin Cycle or Betancourt's Oberon books?

This month we're reading My Name Is Legion.
In Dec09, we read Jack of Shadows.
We read Changeling in November.
A Night in the Lonesome October was the October read.

I'm nominating Eye of Cat, though I wouldn't mind reading Creatures either.

Eye of Cat sounds good to me, since I just won a copy from ebay.

As far as Amber, I'd vote for the Merlin Cycle. Those seem to be easier to find. Plus, I'd be more interested in reading all the Zelazny Amber books before those written by someone else.

I'll nominate Lord of Light since I own a copy that I've only hesitatingly dipped into in the past.

Does anyone have any objections to continuing with the Merlin Cycle in the Amber books?

I'm not sure if I had a senior moment or what happened, but I don't see the Feb poll. Did I forget to put it up?

Sorry, but I've had a lot on my plate personally & no one reminded me. Any suggestions? Just skip it this month or is anyone reading a Zelazny book & want to discuss it?

If we're going to do a March read, we should start discussing it now, too.

Don't worry about that Jim. I have senior moments now too. I think that's because we spend so much time in alternate realities/worlds.

I would say, let's go ahead and start the Merlin Cycle. Most knew it was coming and that the first book is Trumps of Doom.

Then we could roll that list above to a poll for a March read.

I figure that most that planned to read Trumps have had time to find it. Then if we vote on the others, we'll have a little time to acquire the winner by March.
