Good point. I think what I loved the most was that he was very confident, and the whole scene where she figures out she's older...and its just no big deal to him at all.

Jack was deliciously awsome .. i loved the man he became the way he weathered such a horrible past with pride and determination ...the empire he built .. the love he finally surrender to..
he is so sexy the way he tricked his way through her innocence.. god .... he is ALL MAN ..... MARY ME JACK

I LOVE JACK TO!! My Sister Rachael put me on to the book and just fell in love with him.. i loved his cheekiness and ability to learn how to love so much! I loved how Kleypas showed the heart ache that Jack had when he couldn't be with Amanda... What an allround hot stud

I read an article for Suddenly you the other day where the reviewer basically didn;t like it, because Jack Devlin isn't Derek Craven...Although their rising above circumstances are the same, we honestly can not compare Craven to anyone else! But that doesn't make Jack any less delish...I loved him! Especially his misplaced anger, instead of just saying I love you, he forces her into marriage, etc, I love that!

Jack is one of my favourite LK heroes.

I'm only a little ways into the story, but a half-Irish, black haired, blue eyed rogue?? Oh my! *squirms with glee*

Okay, with a description like that, I'll have to move this book up in my TBR pile!

I wholeheartedly agree. I'm a huge Derek fan, but I adored Jack too. I don't compare LK heroes, really. They're all yum in their own rights!

I also loved the way he handled the age thing. Loved it!

This is one of the books that I re read from time to time. Their meeting is unique in that there is a suspense element of what will happen next after this first meeting. I like Jack but still like Marcus.
