Well the kind thing I did today was help my grandmother's friend plant things in her garden. She loves to garden but gets tired a lot easier these days. When I told her it was for Luthiel and for her too, she asked me if it was a video game. I just smiled.

I've paid parking meters that were about to expire randomly before the meter maid got to them.
One Christmas long ago I worked at a donut shop that was on some railroad tracks. We used to see people out there warming themselves by a fire in a trash can. I worked on Christmas eve, a coworker and myself decided that rather than throw all the donuts out, like we we suppossed to, we boxed them all up. We had a few thermoses lying around that we weren't selling anymore, we put tea in one and coffee in the other. We also had a bunch of coats and hats and gloves and scarves that people had left behind and didn't come back for. We put all of the stuff outside the back door for the people who used to hangout back there. On Christmas morning I drove by the donut shop, I saw a man walking down the street with one of the coats and a pair of pink gloves that we had put out, holding one of the thermoses eating a donut, smiling. That was the best Christmas gift I've ever recieved.
Anyone have random acts of kindness ideas for country folk?
