Ally72 I was wondering if anyone has read any vampire books that are similar to the Argeneau books? I think the humor is fantastic in this series and it reminds me of Kerrelyn Sparks' books (love, love, love that series as well). Does anyone else have any suggestions for different series?

Ally72 Vale..."Great minds think alike!" LOL!!! I think the humor in both series is terrific. I haven't read any books by Katie MacAlister, but I have heard she puts a lot of humor in her stories too. Has anyone read any of her books?

Courtney (alannarey) | 69 comments Well there are the Laurell K. Hamilton books but those are more.... serious with humor and stuff and violence. Those are good books and then if you want something that doenst have to do with Vampires there is the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. Also the Sookie Sackhouse books.

Ally72 Courtney...I think those are all great suggestions. I think it is hard to find books that have vampires AND humor AND romance as themes!

I have read all of the books mentioned too, Vale. Of course, you and I love the "Fever" series and the Sookie Stackhouse books are great. I have only read the first seven Anita Blake books and have enjoyed those as well. Although, I think I have reached the point in the series where it is changing...I am not sure what I will think when I get back to those.

I wonder what the Mary Janice Davidson and Kimberly Raye books are like? One of my goodreads friends love the Mary Janice Davidson series so I need to check them out.

Ally72 I will...I have so many good books that I want to read and just don't have the time...I guess that is a good thing...right???

Courtney (alannarey) | 69 comments Yeah the Anita Blake books arnt really the same as Lynsay Sands or Kerrelyn Sparks, but they are a good read. And Alexis if you are stuck at Obsidan Butterfly then its ok, I hated that book with a passion but they get better. The books are more dark but the guys are really funny sometimes. also try Susan Sizemore and Lucy Blue!

message 8: by Ally72 (new)

Ally72 Thanks Courtney! I have Susan Sizemore in my TBR mountain, but haven't tried her yet. I really glad to hear that someone likes her. I haven't heard of Lucy Blue and am going to go and check her out after I get done typing this!

Courtney (alannarey) | 69 comments Yeah im trying to think of some of the other ones. There was a trilogy by Nora Roberts that was vamps, and Anne Rice of course, I have an erotic vampire novel by Joey W. Hill its part one of two and then for witches try Linda Winstead Jones. Oh and Angela Knight!

message 10: by Ally72 (new)

Ally72 I love Nora Roberts "In Death" series that she writes as J.D. Robb! I didn't know she had a trilogy with vampires...I will definitely have to look at it. I have Joey Hill in my TBR pile, but not Angela Knight or Linda Winstead Jones. It is always fun to find new authors and series! Thank-you!

Robin Higgins (arsinoe) | 4 comments I like Kerrilyn Sparks series too, but have you read Erin McCarthy's vamp series. It takes place in Vegas. It's rather fun and witty and urbane as well.

message 13: by Ally72 (new)

Ally72 I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't read Erin McCarthy's books...I have always seen them at the bookstore and they look like they would be fun to read. I will have to check them out...Kerrelyn Sparks is the BEST!!!

message 14: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (alannarey) | 69 comments Ill have to keep that author in mind!

message 15: by Nette (new)

Nette | 1 comments Dark Ones by Katie Macalister is good series with plenty of humor.

message 16: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Davis | 2 comments Have you read Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward? Immortal's after Dark by Kresley Cole? The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost? Or Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian?

message 17: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shananigansreads) | 8 comments I've read all of those except Midnight Breed, Kimberly. They are excellent.

message 18: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Davis | 2 comments I just finished Dragonfury by Coreene Calahan and it was also a good find. There are only a few but I was sucked in. Another similiar series is R.L Mathewson's A Pyte series (again only a few books in the series) Any suggestions for me anyone?

message 19: by Missyb (new)

Missyb | 16 comments For the same type of humor try The Mane Event (Pride, #1) by Shelly Laurenston or Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken or Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson, #1) by Molly Harper
