In a flashback scene that perhaps represents the narrative device's greatest leap in time so far on the series — we'll bear witness to a historic event that has significant repercussions on "present-day" events on the island.

Taken from Lostpedia....

Im hearing its a Locke Centric flashback this week people... lets start connecting the dots....

message 2: by Lori (new)

Lori AHA! You frequent Lostpedia! That's how you remember all this stuff! BUSTED

:P

Lori (tnbbc) | 880 comments Mod
I know, for shame! Lostpedia is a great tool, and has some really great information on it. Have you been on it?

message 4: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments Locke Centric? Flashback and not forward, does this mean he's going to die?

message 5: by Lori, Offical Lost Lover and Super Mod (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 880 comments Mod
I think it is just going to give us a better perspective on him.. i hear its supposed to be waaay in the past.....

message 6: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments really? Haven't they already gone into detail about him? What else could there possibly be to answer about him? (OMG did I just say that about Lost?)

message 7: by Lori (new)

Lori I was hoping for a flash forward. I'm dying to see what's going on with our Islanders! Give us a hint about what went down when the 06 got off. THis is the first part of what they are calling the finale. 2 hours on 5/22. I guess they are saving it all for the final hour.

message 8: by Lori, Offical Lost Lover and Super Mod (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 880 comments Mod
I think this is the episode before the three part finale... i could be wrong tho.

ok. i have to go to bed, but i have to post something or i will explode!

goodspeed was a dream. ok. got that. totally makes sense... thank god something does

Alpert was there for the birth of John, then he wants to take john whe he is young, but cant... then he wants him to go with him to Mittelos (which is connected to Dharma...) and he doesnt. then Abbadon is his friggen orderly, which means... hello... ALL THE SURVIVORS WERE CHOSEN TO BE ON FLIGHT 815.... IT WAS SET UP FROM THE FRIGGEN GET GO.....

Claire is in the cabin with Christian, without Aaron, sitting pretty and smiling... Christian must have faked his death as a way of getting Jack on the plane, the Psychic was a plant -- he had to make sure that claire got on it. shit is starting to tie together for me... Who is christian to the island or Dharma or whatever?

The island is in the FUTURE as seen by the morse code call before the doctor was killed.

Holey friggen shit......

message 10: by Sherry (new)

Sherry I think Christian and Claire are ghosts. There is no way she'd leave her baby.I think she died in the explosion.I did think the survivors were chosen but I'm totally blown away by the John flashbacks.I do think that there are 2 different factions both with their own reasons for wanting the island but the island has other plans.Somehow this ties in with the children being special and chosen.

message 11: by Lorena (last edited May 09, 2008 07:41AM) (new)

Lorena (lorenalilian) | 148 comments I am going to agree with Sherry on Claire, or she's drugged, because she's a good mother, she'd never abandon Aaron. But then why leave Walt outside the story line out for so long if he is so special?

message 12: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments Okay, Lori, your freaking right. Holy freaking god. What is this Psyhic thing? What goodspeed? And what about John failing the test? And what about what the objects represent? The book of law and a knife?

message 13: by Sherry (new)

Sherry I think Walter is a little too special.I think he freaked them out with his abilities. No one wanted to deal with him so he was adios.

message 14: by Lorena (new)

Lorena (lorenalilian) | 148 comments I guess would not cooperate either if I were a child who lost his mother and just got separated from his dad in a violent fashion ... just a thought ... LOL

message 15: by Sherry (new)

Sherry Yeah but his abilities were a little freaky already before all the drama and the trauma.I'm sure that all that he had been through didn't help, but could he control it or did the freaky things happen because he was upset?

message 16: by Lorena (new)

Lorena (lorenalilian) | 148 comments That's a good question Sherry, I had not thought of that, one big problem they are having I'm sure is the fact that the real kid is supper tall now and these people have only been in the island what 9 months?

message 17: by Sherry (new)

Sherry Walt's size is problematic and I get the feeling that until this season they didn't have a set game plan.I could be wrong but it would account for some of the dropped story lines.

message 18: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 149 comments I don't know why, but I see Richard and Abbadon as adversaries to one another. Maybe it's the freaky way that Abbadon talked to Hurley when we first met him, but I tend to view him as the Darth Vader to Richard's Obi-Wan.

I'm really curious as to why the knife disqualified Locke from going to Richard's school.

I'm glad things are tying together for you, Lori, because I am heaps more confused. I totally agree with you on the island being in the future though.

I'm really curious as to how they're going to move the island. That'll be interesting, to say the least.

message 19: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments well, the book of law would represent someone who was just, whereas a person who had the knife would be vengeful. Did they know that Locke was seeing into the future? Cause if they did, they would've taken him.

message 20: by Lori, Offical Lost Lover and Super Mod (last edited May 09, 2008 05:49PM) (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 880 comments Mod
I think Walt will be the one to move or hide the island. with all the powers he appears to have, they will somehow use him as the means of moving or hiding the island. I am almost positive of this.

I think Ben chose the knife becuase that was what he felt was right. (Anyone thinking that that was test to see if Locke was the reincarnation of someone from the island way back when? and he failed becuase Locke isnt whoever Richard thought he was.. and then Abbadon, who is against richard, is sent to Locke when he is crippled and angry to get inside his head and finally get him to get on that plane -thru the walkabout- and onto the island where he can fight the bad guys....)

Just shooting from the hip here.
But Locke, Jack, Claire, Walt and Aaron were recruited to be on that plane at all costs...
Each may not have been recruited by the same 'team', and could eventually be at odds with one another over this whole war for the island...

Maybe Aaron is the one that Richard has been looking for since Locke was borne? Maybe Aaron is the reincarnation of someone special to the island????

message 21: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments Reincarnation is an interesting idea. Omg, I think you just nailed it when you said that they were recruited, and by different "teams". It would make the most sense. But what does each team want? And what does each person bring to the table for them? What is this theory that Mr. Eyeliner and Abbadon are againist each other?

Natalia Bortolotti | 9 comments I find it interesting that Richard doesn't seem to age. If Richard was say, in his 30's, when Locke was a very small boy, then he'd be what, 30, 40, 50 years older by now, wouldn't he? Then why does he still look 30-ish?

message 23: by Lori, Offical Lost Lover and Super Mod (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 880 comments Mod
Perhaps we should start a "why doesnt Richard Age" topic to discuss this very boggling question!! I have always wondered about him, too.

message 24: by Sherry (new)

Sherry I think that the members may be recruited by the two factions and that it may result in a war for the island. But what side is which?Usually for the sake of a good story and good conflict there is a good guy and a bad.Which side is the island coming in on?Good or bad?If the island is evil then presumedly Richard is not so good and Abbadon's team is the good guys. But if the island is good then the opposite would be true.Unless in true Lost fashion, just to keep the audience guessing both sides aren't so good and the island is seperate from both groups, and John represents neither group, but the island's interest.I know I'm rambling here but these questions didn't really come to me until this episode. That test John took and Richard's response to it just seems significant to me.But in true Lost fashion they could drop it and go in another direction.Who knows?

That is the Catch22 of this show. The reason you watch is to get answers, but for every answer you get, the show has to give you 5 more to keep you watching.... I hate when they start something that seems big, and then drop it to cover something else.

Ive been dying to find out why Daniel needed a constant at the end of "the constant".

Ive wanted to know about the numbers since we found out about them.

I have to know what the hell the smoke monster is, and who jacob is.

I need to know if Christian is dead or alive or what....

I cant take all this not-knowing.... and i watch with bated breath every thursday nite hoping ONE of those, or one of the many many other questions get answered....

message 26: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 332 comments Lori, I think we all wish we got answers. I sometimes want to bang my head againist the wall because I just want to know. And we all wish we got them NOW. But we won't, because that's just the way Lost is. I don't understand how Lost could ever end, because it wouldn't be like Lost to tie up all the lose ends.

message 27: by Sherry (new)

Sherry I actually feel mildly anxious at the thought of the show ending and some of the things that appeared pertinent are dropped and never answered because something else came along and it went into a new direction.I'll feel so pissed!
(and a little crazy :) )
