That is the question for me.

Shelly - I didn't even think that Richard and Abbadon were 2 different factions. Another twist? I knew Locke would choose the knife - he's always carrying one. I even thought that was his knife, in some way carried back to the past.
Perhaps Abbadon was there to give Locke a second chance, and Richard didn't go in case he would be recognized.
Totally agree about Ben. I can almost feel sorry for him. That moment with the candy bar was brilliant.

Sherry, I'm glad that someone got the same notion about Richard/Abbadon as I did. My wife totally thinks they're working together, but I think they're both struggling for control of the island.

Side note to any Heroes watchers - is the actor also playing the Jamaican?

OK ... Lori, I do not think that christian and claire are ghosts. I think christian was never on that plane in the coffin as jack thought. I think he faked his death to get jack to go on the plane becuase he knew it was going to crash. Christian is part of one of those groups of people who want to protect the island, i am just not sure who the hell it is yet....
I also think that Abbadon and Richard are Enemies... and neither are really playing on the good side. Both have evil agendas....
Abbadon was a last resort to get Locke to the island by putting the walkabout into his head... Richard couldnt get to him... he was failed the test, he wasnt responding to the requests to go to mittelos (which is in some way connected to Dharma)...
Holy crap that was a good episode!

So I've been pondering all day (pathetic!) about this concept that Ben and Richard are on opposite sides and I think you all might be onto something. From what we've seen, Richard does not like the way Ben has taken over the leadership and what he's doing with it.
What if Jacob was a puppet show Richard put on to get Ben to fall in line?
What if there are more than two groups of people after this island and more than two groups who want to protect it. What if we are in the middle of some huge fight to take it over.... Dharma, Bens others, Richard Hostiles, Christians group, Abbadon.... who the hell is on whose side now?
And poor poor ben. I really feel bad for him now. he was cow-whipped this episode. He is totally out of the loop and you can tell its killing him.. hes not special anymore.

This is why I love this forum - you all present speculations I haven't considered.

Someone on another board pointed out that "Abbadon" means "Destroyer." It's used in the Bible (book of Revelation) to speak of the Angel of the Abyss and is perhaps another name for Satan.
Yikes! He seemed like such a nice man with Locke!
{big hugs for emma!}
I dont think i liked him at the hospital with Locke. he was still a bit creepy. i think he is on the side of good tho... i think he wanted locke to go the island to help protect it. same thing with Naomis group... i think they are supposed to be good.. although Miles and Charolette confuse me -- they seem too secretive and evil...
im so confused! i wish i knew what every everyones agenda was!

so i watched the enhansed episode of this show tonite, and here are a few things i noticed.
Horace was the one who built the cabin, but it was meant for Horace and his wife as a getaway place. Not for Jacob... So how the hell did Jacob come to inhabit it, and who the hell is Jacob?
Abbadon works for Widmore. So he is bad. And he wanted Locke on the island, as we saw in this ep, becuase Abbadon gave Locke the walkabout idea, and spoke of miracles and predicted that the two of them would see each other agian, and that Locke would have to thank him.
Weird that Abbadon/Widmore would want Locke there, since he is currently working against them, huh!
The test Alpert was giving young Locke was similar to the test given to Tibetian monks, using articles that belonged to the past Dhali Lama to determine the current one. He who guesses correctly is the reincarnate. So who does Alpert think Locke is a reincarnation of? Jacob? Doesnt make sense, since Horace only built that cabin back in the, what, 80's, 90's? The purge happened 12 years ago from 04.... who knows how long horace was building the cabin, but we have to assume jacob wasnt around prior to that. Or if he was, where the heck was he?
Back to Alpert. Still no clue if he is with or against Widmore. Was Richard the last leader, before Ben? If so , that would be a neat turn of events, if Richard takes orders from Widmore, Ben is listening to Richard, hense follwing orders from the very man he thinks he is in a war against.....
I still stick to my original thought. Both teams are recruiting Locke because they both see something in him.
so many more questions.

Not really new content, just the ticketer at the bottom of the screen telling you some stuff you may not have caught. I thought it was interesting how it kept introducing Christian as the man who died in Sydney in 2004..... Are they trying to tell us now, without a doubt, that daddy-o really is dead????? Cause then all you smartypants who keep saying its his ghost are onto something.... and my theory of him faking a death and being part of the war on the island is shot to hell (oh poor me and my sad little theories)
My god, my head is so screwed up right now! So, that speculation I mentioned in another thread was right - Claire is indeed dead and a ghost like Christian. Yet the psychic said that it was important for Claire to be with Aaron, so the real factor was that he be born on the island.
I can't make any sense of these ghosts! Maybe Charlie and Claire can now get it on as ghosts! :P
Christian represents Jacob? How did this happen? He was a drunken basket case who died in Australia, and suddenly he is the priest of the island's god?
Locke was such a sad sack in his former life. And we have Mr. Eyeliner Man take such an interest of him from the start. Young John is also painting pictures of Smokey! Then the black dude who is Mr. Eyeliner's main man becomes the orderly to get Locke to the island. Whew.
And what else? Jeez, that's my initial reaction I know I'm skipping over stuff.
