I'll start. My name is Carole and I blog together with my friends at The Romance Reviews. I love love love books and I've been reading since I could hold a book in my hands. I love the feel and smell of new books. I mainly read fiction, especially historical romances. I could be persuaded to read paranormals and fantasy, on occasion, like if the story's good and I trust the person making the recommendation.

I am an active member of the following groups on Goodreads - 'We Love Lisa Kleypas', 'Historical Romance' and 'Dangerous Hero Addict Support Group'.
Judith McNaught's book 'Whitney, My Love' was my first introduction to Historical Romance and I have been an addict of that genre ever since. Lisa Kleypas, Loretta Chase, Julia Quinn and Lorraine Heath are among my favourite authors but my list keeps growing as I discover new authors. For me Historical Romances are a form of escapism into a totally different world.
I absolutely love J R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Her heroes are truly dark, dangerous and oh so sexy!
Sometimes when I want a complete change, I read mystery novels and my favourite authors are Mary Higgins Clark and Michael Connelly.
I have recently started to write reviews for The Romance Reviews site and really enjoy doing this. It's also an opportunity to explore new authors.

Oh, thanks! Yup, Utopia is kinda familiar, but not Dystopia. :)

Hey, Carol, thanks for introducing Lisa Kleypas to me. I'll get to her books when I've the time. :)
Re PNR, I've recently discovered Sherrilyn Kenyon through her anthology
and it's awesome! She has a huge backlist for me to read and I'm in ecstasy over it. (Now, if only I have time...)
There's also Christine Warren. I've read the first two books in her Other series and I love the humor mixed in with the danger and suspense. I also love the banter between her main characters. :) I'm also in ecstasy over her considerable backlist, and the latest book
is out in November and I may have to read that first!
Okay, leaping down now from the fangirl stand.... LOL

Hey Guys!
I'm Rho. I recently became a reviewer for the Romance Reviews site, and I'll try to help Paige out with moderating this group as well.
I will read just about anything at least once, but I love reading romances the most by far. I started reading romance when I was in college, but I went to grad school and did some post-graduate training and really didn't get to read for pleasure for many years. Now that I have finished schooling and my kids are a bit older and on a schedule, I started reading again about 2 years ago. I was reading so much that my husband complained about the amount of books I had all around the house. So, that lead to me getting a kindle. And the rest as they say is history.
My tastes tend to lean on the more erotic side, the steamier the better, but I like to have an actual plot to my stories. I like M/F contemporary, PNR, and Menage Romances. I recently discovered M/M romance and I have been devouring them a lot as well.
I look forward to getting to know you guys, and I think we can have a lot of fun on here.

My name is Debbie. I have always loved reading Romance. I actually started reading some lite romance in junior high school. After I got old enough for the steamier stuff that's what I liked to read and still do. I love erotica. Like Rho says, the steamier the better. Lately most of what I've been reading are M/M and light BDSM. I don't much like the harsher side of that genre. And if it's a menage of M/M/F or M/F/M all the better. The two genre I typically won't read are books with F/F or historical romance. I really like suspense or romantic suspense also if there is a good plot.
I look forward to reading the posts and chatting with some of you.

I love to read almost anything. The one author I can't resist is Cherise Sinclair. I never read BDSM until I found Cherise and now I am hooked. I also recently started reading Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series and discovered a love for Urban Fantasy. I write erotic romance but my stories are contemporary and lean more towards suspense than kink.
I am looking forward to meeting you all.

I absolutely love erotic suspense. I'll have to check out your books :)
Hi Lillian! Welcome to the Group. I am a fan of BDSM books as well. Cherise Sinclair is one of my favorites. I look forward to Chatting with you!

I have a wide range of fave authors from Cassie Edwards to Sherrilyn Kenyon

Here's a little information on that book. I'm also happy to announce The Romance Reviews has agreed to review the book (biting nails here).

Snippet:
I would recommend this book to anyone. I read mainly vamp and shifter books, so I was pleasantly surprised to find myself not wanting to put this book down. Because of this, I want to give the book a 4.5, a warm, endearing read that will appeal to any romantic, no matter what genre they prefer.
Paranormal Romantics (FIVE STARS)

Snippet:
"Diablo weaves a story together with such beautiful writing it can only be described as poetic. But it's not only the writing that made this story incredible, it's how Diablo told an entire life within one story. I was completely enthralled with the Native American life, the conflicts Cesca experienced as the story progressed, and the romance between her and Meko left me breathless. Every character, not just the main ones, I fell in love with, laughed and cried with and are ones I'll never forget."

Hi Donna.
Don't panic about the review Keta. Rho reviewed my book before I had even heard of The Romance Reviews and gave it a glowing write up.

I am a veterinarian who has discovered romance in the past few years. I find it a wonderful release from what can be an emotionally demanding job. I specifically read historicals - ashamed to say I havent read a modern romance yet, which is silly since I had a misconception about historicals until I actually read one!!
I just love the glamour and escapism of historicals, I love being at that distance from the modern world, I suppose it gives me permission to dream I could be the heroine two hundred years earlier.
Anyhow, I progressed from reading to writing and my debut regency romance, 'A Dead Man's Debt' is a story of blackmail, duty and unexpected love.
My aim is to write the sort of page turning, lump in the throat romance that I love to read. I hope you agree.

I am Malena. I am also a reviewer for Romance Reviews site, and I love in it. Writing reviews for TRR is a great experience. New books new authors... I love Paranormal Romance, but I also love romance/erotica.
Happy New Year and all the best in 2011!

My name is Bridget and I'm also a reviewer on the Romance Reviews site. I've always been in love with books and reading. I started really reading romances while in grad school. They were a fabulous way to unwind from studying, and as the library near my flat never seemed to have the books I needed, I decided to read the books I wanted!
I'm a huge fan of paranormal romances--mostly the vampires (always the vampires, who am I kidding?), and historical romances. Some of my must-read authors are Lisa Kleypas, J.R. Ward, Susan Sizemore, Michelle Rowen, Loretta Chase, Molly Harper, Jennifer Ashley and Alexandra Ivy, but I've adored finding so many great new authors lately!

I’m Regan and I love to read romance, all genres. I write paranormal, and young adult romance and dabble a little in mainstream. I’ve been writing for four years and my very first novel, Whisper Cape, a paranormal romance, was just released this last weekend. It took four years from start to finish and I am so happy to be able to move on and put my heart into something else. I’m a one book at a time writer and when I write, I need to be in those character’s heads. I’m writing a young adult romance now that I started on NaNoWriMo last November. I do hope it won’t take as long to get right because I want to finish that before I get into the sequel to WC.
I have a blog at http://enjoyingthewaves.blogspot.com . I love comments and will always respond if you leave one. At least I try to. I also have a website, http://reganwalsh.com where you can read the first chapter of Whisper Cape.
I like having a place to come to see what other people are writing and reading and bounce ideas off of.
You all seem like a great bunch of people and I look forward to getting to know you all!!

I quickly checked out your blog and I was very interested in your comments on what makes a best seller. I love J R Ward's BDB series and I agree that what draws me to these books is the complex world her characters inhabit and, of course, those sexy Brothers! She's an expert at weaving so many continuing threads into her books and it keeps you coming back for more!

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here.

Right now I'm over the moon for finally making the leap from Romance Reader to Author; I have two eBooks out on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com, with more in the pipeline.
