I love following the book discussions here and picking up new titles to add to my reading lists. If I only had time to read them all!

I am waiting for a flight at the Pittsburgh airport and actually found a plug! Do I need to identify myself. If so, my second Cats in Trouble book, The Cat, The Professor and The Poison is released today! YAHOO! There are also 5 Yellow Rose Mysteries.

I read the first 3 Yellow Rose books and really enjoyed them. I think I have the other 2 in The Pile somewhere. Should dig them out!

Yes, I loved The Cat, The Quit and The Corps and I'm enjoying a lot The Cat, The Professor and The Poison.

My new Rocky Mountain Adventure series featuring river ranger Mandy Tanner will kick off with Deadly Currents in March, 2011, and I've already received two great blurbs from Margaret Coel and William Kent Krueger. I'm finishing up the second book in the series now, then I'll go back to Claire and write the third gift basket designer book.

Hi Briansgirl, everyone. Thanks for the invite. My first book "The Mine" is available at Amazon.com and ~20 independent bookstores in the Pacific Northwest. Independent reviews call it "riveting", "enthralling", and "spellbinding". I'm jazzed. I'm currently doing a giveaway that ends in 5 days, May 31. Take a peak! "The Mine"

That was me! And yep, I did enjoy it.
Hey Briansgirl, Tammy, thanks much! I hope you win! I'm busy scheduling radio ads and signings for "The Mine" --and working on the next novel. I've got the outline defined, now need to get busy doing the research and roughing out each scene. It's an insane amount of work, but a lot of fun.
Best,

I know......as my mom loves to tell me, "You're not getting any younger!" LOL

Others are Mama Does Time (2008), and Mama Rides Shotgun (2009).
Cheers, y'all!

Hi, Deborah. I look forward to reading your series.

Hi Deborah! Yes, that is indeed a cow. Her name is Mother MOO-se. She was part of the CowParade Wisconsin herd on display in Madison a few summers ago and was covered in nursery rhymes. You can see her in all her glory here. I figured a literary cow was a good fit for the site. There were also four Wizard of Oz cows (Glinda, Wizard, Lollipop Munchkin and Ballerina Munchkin).

Heather ... Ha!I have a good friend in Wisconsin (Paddock Lake, near Lake Geneva) who sends me cow cards and cow knick-knacks. We'll have to take in the cow parade if it returns. Fun!
PS: Hi to Marisa, too!

Hi, to you Susie ''Sharp'' .... have been doing some family research. Are your people from around Kentucky, by chance?

Okay, so Deborah - answer this for me since it's been bugging me to death - how do you say C'ndee? Is it like Cindy or like Candy? : )

I'd love to see some Cozy Mysteries members sign up as followers of the author blog! Check out my July 1st post there about "Moving a County Line for my Opening Scene," complete with photos. :)

I haven't read the Mace Bauer books, or yours either, Beth, but have thoroughly enjoyed Cricket McRae's Home Crafting series and Terri Thayer's Quilter's mystery books. I found out about Sue Ann Jaffarian's books by checking the websites and now have a couple of her Odelia Grey books waiting in the pile. MI seems like a great mystery publishing company.

Actually, my first two mysteries were published by Five Star, not Midnight Ink, but I moved the series over to MI, and they'll be bringing

I'll be interested in your Rocky Mtn Adventures book. I read your blog entry about moving the county lines to fit the story. Those types of things are funnier when you know the area. I just finished Carrie Vaughn's newest Kitty Norville book (it's UF) the other day and it was an even better read when I could follow actual places and areas she wrote about in this particular book. The whole book took place in the Denver area and Fort Carson.

I'm hosting a Q&A here at Goodreads July 26-Aug 16--you are definitely invited! Here's the link to the group http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/3...
Looking forward to a good discussion with y'all.
Susan

Hi Susan,
I just finished reading The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree and I loved it very much. The story telling and characterization was beautiful and imaginative. Maybe it's because I love every thing from the 1930's and 1940's, but I love that you set this new series in the 1930's. So much can be done with that time period and reading about those days makes me want to live then or at least have my grandmother still be alive to tell me all about it. Thank you for writing such an intelligent and emotional book. Can't wait for the next one!
