The FAYZ: The Gone Series discussion

This is a place where you can talk about Dekka, Sam, and Edilio and share your opinions. I created because they're my three favorite characters.

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR LIES IN THE FUTURE!****


Dekka: I love Dekka because she's so level-headed and non-dramatic. She's really mature and don't put up will BS. She has no delusions about what's going on. Also she's very strong willed, but vulnerable at the same time.

Edilio: I love this guy, really. He has a special place in my heart. He's so damn good and compassionate that I get teary eyed when I think about him suffering. (Like when he has to dig graves or sees kids die, like in Lies.)

Really, the boy doesn't hate. Even when people deserve to die, he doesn't advocate killing them and it's because he's so pure hearted. He's got a lot of self respect and integrity, but he's humble too. Remember this quote:

"Honduras is where my folks are from. They had to come all the way through Mexico before they even reached the border. My mom works as a maid. My father is a farmhand. We live in a trailer and drive an old beater. I still have a little accent because I learned Spanish before I learned English. Anything else you need to know, man?"

I was like "In you face, Quinn!" when Edilio was done.

Sam: At first Sam really annoyed me because he wouldn't stand up and take leadership, but then he did...and he was awesome. It was his big fight with Caine that cemented him into my favorites.

He's very determined and sacrifices a lot to keep order. He sees how bad things are and even when he gets scared and gives up, he always comes back to fight. I also like him cause he's a little crazy...

Dekka: She wasn't that big of a part in Gone, and I didn't like her much in Hunger. But she grew on me in Lies. I agree, very mature and level headed. A little, ah, weird with the whole Brianna thing, but I guess some people are like that.

Edilio: <3 x 100000. I agree with all of your points, Sierra. I almost died when he died in Hunger. And when he collapsed after fighting those fires... ah! He is a true hero. Not necessarily a leader, but a hero nonetheless. I don't think the kids in the FAYZ really realize how much they need Edilio and people like him.

Sam: I have a love/hate relationship with Sam. Right now, I'm loving him. He was great in Lies. :D He's probably the best representation of a "normal" person. Like, he makes mistakes and you get pissed with him and want to knock some sense into him. But then he does something good and decent, or thinks a certain way, and you want to back him up and give him a big hug. I think a lot of people are like that, in general. They aren't extreme good guys, or bad guys, you know?

I totally agree with you on Sam. His faults are WHY I like him. Because he's so good at over coming them.

I would agree with you on the extreme bad/good but....Drake. Dude. I think he's just pure freaking evil.

I love Edilio, he will always be my favorite character, no matter what he does.

Oh, well then yeah, you're totally right. Few people are totally good or bad.

Dekka: Yes! One of my favorites. I always hated her in GONE. Not sure why, but I felt pissed and slightly annoyed whenever she came into scene. In HUNGER she began to grow on me, and she interested me a lot. I especially loved her in LIES. And I agree with you all. She's so awesome because she's incredibly level headed and mature. Also very loyal, and tough. I think it's sweet though how she loves Brianna, but also is at least happy that she has a cute little relationship [not exactly:] with Jack.

Edilio: FTW! My favorite guy character. Edilio is such a humble, smart kid. He has this humor I just love, and he's super courageous yet at the same time so sensitive it makes me giggle. *giggle* <---SEE!!

Sam: I did feel a bit of annoyance with him in all three books so far, but at the same time he's a really good character. The thing is, Sam is humble and at times dependent, but acts independent on his own because he does not want harm to come to anyone. I love how he cracked in LIES, it's a fault, and I felt it was very important even though my brain was screaming "GET OFF YOU BUTT AND HELP, DAMNIT!"

Dekka:Is a character i really like. She is not dramatic and doesn't take crap from anyone. I also like how loyal she is. She seems like she would be the kind of friend that would stick by you through thick and thin. She isn't one of my favs but I have never disliked her.

Edilio: I love Edilio!!! He is the sweetest purest person! There really isn't any more to say! I mean i would be seriously surprised if someone says they are annoyed by him or don't like him. He is very cool so when he does the right thing it isn't annoying like he is just a goody-two-shoes or something. Def one of my favs!!

Sam: Sam i have to say has always been one of my favs. I agree with what others said about him being the most normal. Honestly in Lies seeing him so weak and vulnerable but then standing up and doing the right thing made me love him even more. He is very normal and very relate able.

Dekka: Dekka is cool shes strong and level headed

Edilio: I LOVE LOVE LOVE EDILIO!!!!hes so cool and is laidback and chilled

Sam: He was annoying at first but now I like him alot more.

Dekka: I love Dekka so much, she's one of my favorites in the series. I love how she was one of the first people from Coates to want to fight against Caine, even though he'd cemented her hands. Another think I really like about Dekka is that she's tough and tells it like it is and she cares so much about the people she's close to. Also, I think her friendship with Sam is awesome, especially in Plague.

Edilio: Edilio is amazing. Even though he was new in town and barely knew most of the other kids when the FAYZ started, he's always worked hard and fought for them. He doesn't do anything for money or attention, he's just a good, sweet guy who wants to help.

Sam: I know he's not a lot of people's favorite, but he's definitely one of mine. He's heroic and a great person, but he's not perfect, he has flaws and he makes mistakes and he breaks down when it's all too much for him. I think how he's changed over the course of the series is definitely realistic, him being the same person he was at the beginning after going through so much just wouldn't make sense.

Dekka: Strong-willed. Level-headed. Mature. She keeps hur mind on the task at hand. I love hur because she's a lesbian. She was strong in PLAGUE & trusted Sam. If she were real i'd so date hur. She has an amazing power that i'd die for. She'd da anything for Brianna and it's sweet.
