I hope everyone enjoyed the The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Societyfor May! So far, our book selection have included themes of books and the printed word playing a tremendous role during WWII.

What nominations do you have for June? I'll start with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest What other suggestions? Obviously, this book is the 3rd of a series, so it might not be a good choice if not many have read the first two. The book is available on the Nook starting tomorrow!

Susie | 20 comments I second the nomination for The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I have pre-ordered it and can't wait for it tomorrow. The first two were excellent.

Shanna (snowie) | 8 comments I haven't read Dragon Tattoo yet. Perhaps we should start with the beginning of the series unless the majority of people have read it. :)

Here's a few other options: Noah's Compass, The Road, The Cellist of Sarajevo, or The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I can put as many up in a poll as anyone wants. I'd like to put the poll up Thursday night. I won't likely be able to give the results until late on June 1st.

The poll is up now for our June selection. Just because we do have a very small group, and some may have not read the first two books of the "The Girl Who. . . " series, I'm going to leave off The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. If anyone wants to discuss the book, though, we could start a separate thread specifically for it (I'm just starting to read it now, although it's tough squeezing in time for it around Memorial Day family reunions/birthdays/graduations/weddings going on around here!)

So, be sure to check out the poll over the weekend and register your vote! Have a great weekend!
