Favorite characters? Characters you hate? Characters who you're just a little bit in love with? Talk about them here!

Amy (runawaymarbles) | 75 comments Rudy, from the Book Thief. He's... so realistic, and is just.... perfect, but as a character, not in a Mary Sue way. He seems so real. I don't know. He's just awesome. : )

I also like Professor McGonagle. (I still don't know how to spell that). Because she is just. Plain. Awesome.

I'm in love with Fang from Maximum Ride. haha but I hate the pictures of him on the books. That's not how I see him at all.

Urgh, Maximum Ride. *shudders*

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

I read those a long time ago. They are poorly written, but I liked the characters. They entertained me for about half a summer. lol

As long as you realize that they are crap, you're allowed to like them. Haha. I'm that way with a couple books.

Agreed, agreed.

I can't think of many others...umm...maybe Biff, from Lamb.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, the chapters were too short and the grammar pretty much sucked. But I'm a sucker for those Fang-like characters.

message 9: by Amy (new)

Amy (runawaymarbles) | 75 comments and the plot sucked too.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

yes, pretty much. The only reason I read it was because my little brother was reading it. I liked Iggy and Fang, but Max annoyed me. She was 14 and could somehow save the world whenever one thing went bad.

message 11: by Amy (new)

Amy (runawaymarbles) | 75 comments She was obnoxious.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Pretty much.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

I love Wes from The Truth About Forever. He is just amazing. Yep.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, I read that book. Yeah, he was cool

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

He's my favorite character from any of Dessen's books.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

I read Just Listen and I really liked that guy character. I can't remember his name...oh! Owen, yeah that's it.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

He's pretty cool too. Have you read This Lullaby? Dexter's pretty funny.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

no I didn't read that one.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay, I won't give anything away then ;)

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

I tend to like my characters more than others because I spend so much time developing them. I get attached to the point where it's unhealthy. Ehehehe...

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Me too. Like Tristan. *swoon*

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Completely. I love my little Katherine. Funny story, I named her after my sister that I've never met.

Mandy♥ said: "I love Wes from The Truth About Forever. He is just amazing. Yep."

So agreed. He's my favorite character along with Dexter from any Dessen book.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

I love Jane Eyre. It is absolutely my favorite book.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I haven't seen that. I wasn't aware that it was a movie. I will have to check that out.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Awesome. I read Pride and Prejudice, too. Have you read Wuthering Heights. I tried to read it, but I just couldn't get into it. I hated how the story was told from the maid's point of view (or whatever she was). It was just weird and I didn't like it.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm sure it could be good if I tried again, but I just wasn't a fan.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Wuthering Heights was hard for me to finish reading. I had to keep forcing myself to pick up the book and continue it. I wasn't into the book very much.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, so I didn't even try to finish it. I haven't finished Pride and Prejudice either, but it's not because of lack of interest. The book is very good, I just don't have time.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

I saw the movie when I got the book, but I haven't gotten the chance to finish it.

message 31: by Tayyaba (new)

Tayyaba (Tayyaba1) I loved Dobby from Harry Potter! He was so cute and loyal and yes I did cry when he died in the last book.

message 32: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanashayn) Indeed! Though I do not cry.

message 33: by ☺♡M♡☺ (new)

☺♡M♡☺ (moonlanpersonyahoocom) | 37 comments Ditto.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

I cry when I'm angry more than when I'm sad.

message 35: by ☺♡M♡☺ (new)

☺♡M♡☺ (moonlanpersonyahoocom) | 37 comments Oh. Very emotional.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

I'M NOT EMOTIONAL! EVERYBODY SAYS THAT! *weeps in a corner for 10 minutes*

message 37: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanashayn) Hehehe. *hugs*

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Aw, thanks. =]

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Ahahah. I cry more when I'm angry too.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

That's the only time I don't cry. *shakes head* I am impossible. haha

message 41: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanashayn) Haha. I cry when I am frustrated, or really confused to the point of being frustrated. Which is the same thing, really. I don't cry when I'm just SAD.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I cry when I'm horribly, terribly, indescribably sad. This medication gave me depression once, and I was crying for over an hour straight and I kept crying in my sleep, according to my mother. Glad that's over.

message 43: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanashayn) Me too! o_o

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

O.o Woah. Extreme side effects? Scary.

message 45: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 22, 2010 12:19AM) (new)

Quite extreme. After that happened with the medication, I kind of thought, "I'll just keep the acne, thank you very much."

message 46: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 22, 2010 12:22AM) (new)

I would agree with that thought.

message 47: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanashayn) Oh yeah. For sure..

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

Anyway.

Characters... I love 'em, don't you? =]

message 49: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanashayn) Pretty much, yes.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

In a new story, I'm giving a girl named Kassandra Asperger's syndrome. She's so adorable though.
