And what books would you like to nominate for July? Let's take the next week to nominate, and I'll post the poll for voting next Friday, 6/25/10.

I don't know about all of you, but I'm loving our June's selection!

"The Help" wasn't included in the June poll just because no one nominated it for June. Our group is so small at this point that I'll include all the books nominated. If we ever get to a point where there are just too many books for one poll, then we'll have to figure out something else, but so far, that's not been a problem. "The Help" is one of my all-time favorite books! Great choice, Nicole!

Oh, Nicole, I'm sorry about that! I just completed missed "The Help" and didn't see it in the messages! Let's definitely get it listed in the poll for July! My daughter just finished it and loved it also.

Shari | 3 comments I'm reading "Water for Elephants" now and it's totally boring. I'm on page 113 out of 300 and am about ready to stop. I know not everyone has the same taste but you would think it would be at least readable when so many people like it and a movie is being made based on it. "The Help" was very good.

Odessa (sincityreader) If I'm allowed, I would like to nominate:

Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann

It's on my TBR list.

message 8: by Konnie (new)

Konnie (mrsnaz) I would like to nominate:

Through a Glass Darkly A Novel by Karleen Koen Through a Glass Darkly: A Novelby Karleen Koen

I'd like to nominate "The Magicians" by Lev Grossman. Hopefully I'll have time to participate this month!

Are we only reading fiction in this group, or would a non-fiction book be welcome?

And I'd like to nominate The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot .

Now, it's time to vote! Head over to the polls and make your selection for the book for July, 2010. We have some great choices!

Welcome, Camilla! And yes, you can nominate non-fiction books as well

I'll keep that in mind for next month's nominations. Thanks!

I think we should read what Camilla put in.

Kristi, there's a poll up for July at this link: http://www.goodreads.com/poll/list/26...
You also can get to it under "polls" in the list at the upper right of this page. At the page for polls, you may have to scroll down a bit to find the poll for July.

Kristi (kristicoleman) oh, sorry, I didn't see that! THanks!
