I loved the cultures he created, as I stated above, but that too can get annoying. Especially when the characters have to say all their greetings and farewells every single time we meet and say goodbye to them. It can get old.



I think that his editor was his wife. I imagine that is why he got away with most bad writing that he did.




And I agree. The series is definitely worth the read. It just has some annoying parts lol. And it's well worth taking a breather. I had to take a long breather from rereading the series so I could catch up for the new books by Brandon Sanderson. I'm up to The Path of Daggers and should be getting to it next month.

Hopefully it's true that Brandon Sanderson was able to pick up the pace of the storyline.





I read the Eye of the World back in High School, but never read anything else by Jordan. And now, because of the praise that Sanderson gave Jordan, I decided to read them all and purchased them all in hardcover. Just wondering, if I read New Spring first, would that ruin the story or not.
