I don't read as many new ones as I used to (so little time, so many books I want to read) but I buy in-store for ones I want. They're easy to get a hold of here...I can get them at either KMart, WalMart, Target, and the grocery store sells some. So I just pick them up there...plus all those stores offer 25% off books, which works for me ;)

The ones I've read & are not likely to be re-read, I send to some GR BFFs. It's been v. beneficial to me.

Harlequin Presents
Harlequin Historicals
Harlequin Nocturne (for my sister, *wink*)
Love Inspired Historical
Silhouette Desire
I don't worry about the backlog. At least I'll have books to read for a rainy day. The ones I don't want, I just trade to others.

I subscribe to the regular line of Love Inspired (Large Print ) - and I have about 12 now to catch up on. I trade them on PBS..when I am done reading them. I also like the Love Inspired Historical line, and I get them online or at used book stores when I can find them.

I subscribe to the Historicals in ebook, and pick up the odd Spice, Presents or Nocturne depending upon what catches my eye.

If I find a series or author I like I check out the used book stores for back issues.

If I'm wandering in Target, or a book store, though, I'll pick up whatever peaks my interest.
So I guess it's Amazon for deliberate buys and brick-and-mortar stores for impulse buys.

I recently subscribed to the Historical and Nocturn series, and love it, but I think I'm going to cancel. I went to my local used bookstore that sells and trades paperbacks only and found they have a masive collection of Harlequin everything for a couple bucks a book.
I do like the idea of the subsciption becuase it forces you to try a variety of things. I've read a couple that I wouldn't have normally went for and really enjoyed them. The problem is the monthly bill and like everyone here has said before, the back log.
:-) I'm just glad I tried it out. Love Harlequin!

Have also bought loads of older books from ebay which happily sit in my bookcase for when I've finished the 4 from M&B each month.
