message 6: by D.G. (last edited Aug 01, 2010 08:02AM) (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments Today I started Slow Heat in Heaven by Sandra Brown by Sandra Brown. It's dark for a romance - really bad things happening to good people and bad guys getting away with murder - but so far, it's going great. The heroine has balls of steel - she wanted to do something and people told her not to because she was going to get into the bad side of one of the evil guys and when she couldn't convince anybody to help her, she did it herself! (And it was dangerous.) Love smart, gutsy heroines!

message 7: by Nikki ♥ (new)

message 8: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments i'm plowing my wya through Moon Called...But one is the one I have at work (DTB), the other three are on kindle...and then one audiobook i'm listening to at home as I do schoolwork etc, the other in the car...and they are different enough that I can't get them confused

message 38: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments are they all on your bookshelfs...use a random number generator...use the first and last number, 1 and the number of books on the pile and then read the book that corresponds with the number you got

D.G. | 4477 comments Melanie wrote: "Lol:-) I'm browsing your bookshelves, saw you liked..."

I liked them all! I didn't get to those on your shelf...If I had, I would have recommended all of those too. ;)

A bunch of those books are first in a series so if you like that one, then maybe you feel like continuing the series right away (I know you read really fast.)

message 40: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 1339 comments lol DG.. that is usually what I do:-) I'm not a patient person:-) I'll probably start with A Summer to Remember or Something About You (see, lol, I'm narrowing it down:-p)

Dee.. that's a good idea for the future, thx:-) unfortunately I have most of my TBR on the floor of my room, lol (over 40 piles and a couple boxes full..) I'm still trying to separate the ones I won't read in the next couple months (those'll go to the attic for now, mostly the older bodice rippers, lol) from the ones that interest me most..

Thank you both:-)

message 41: by D.G. (last edited Aug 02, 2010 05:19PM) (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments Just to warn you though that A Summer to Remember has a prequel! (Yes, the prequel has a prequel.) The prequel is called One Night for Love but I didn't like that one as much...
