In August, our Books of the Month are:
Fantasy: The Gaslight Dogs by Karin Lowachee
SF: Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang by Kate Wilhelm
I've set up some starter topics for the discussion, but as always please feel free to add more, with appropriate spoiler warnings if necessary. (if you've read one of the books and would like to volunteer to lead one of the discussions now or in the future, let me know.) I've also set up the polls, so please take a moment to vote.
The polls for October have ended, so we now also have the schedule for the next few months:

September SF: Julian Comstock: A Story of 22nd-Century America by Robert Charles Wilson
October Fantasy: The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle

... and I have to say, those look like 4 excellent novels coming up, including 2 books that are up for the Hugo Award this year, one perennial fantasy classic, and one of the most discussed SF novels of the last few years, so I hope we'll have lots of readers checking them out and participating in the discussion.
