Lisarenee | 7659 comments I don't know about anyone else, but this is one of my favorite areas of our group. As I mentioned before I would rather get to meet one of my favorite authors than one of my favorite celebrities. This section is dedicated to getting to know and talk to those wonderful and creative individuals who share their incredible gift with us which engages our imaginations and emotions. We are honored and humbled to have you with us. Thank you for taking a portion of your valuable time to chat with us.

As with all things fun some ground rules need to be established to ensure things go smoothly. Firstly, let's establish some rules of etiquette:

1. Be nice, in other words, leave your attitude at the door, er, keyboard(?). This is not an area to tell an author how much you hate their book or how much you dislike something in their book. When an author writes a book they share a piece of their soul with us and we do not wish to discourage that.

2. Please no personal questions for the authors. Questions should pertain to their books or writing techniques.

3. Be patient. Our authors may not be online the whole duration of the time period. They do need to write you know.(Okay, and they do have lives that don't revolve around writing too, but shhhh....don't tell anyone.)

Next, we need to establish some rules for asking questions:

1. Please bold your questions. How do you do that?
Example:
If you write this:
Put the text you want bold in between here
It will look like this:
Put the text you want bold in between here

2. Don't overwhelm the author. Limit your questions to 2 or 3. If they only require a yes or no you may ask more, but please be reasonable.

Finally, a request for the authors:

- With so many questions coming your way please copy the question(s) being asked of you to above your answer(s). Hopefully, this will eliminate any confusion as to which questions are being answered.

- Please put the person's question(s) in italics. How do you do this?
Example:
If you write this:
Put the text you want italicized in between here
It will look like this:
Put the text you want bold in between here

- After answering a question or before looking at the message after your post. Please make sure no questions were asked during the time it took to answer the last questions you answered. There may be one lurking in between your last two answers.

Again, thank you for joining us.
