I didn't even know that they made all of those candies...and I haven't heard of the last 5. I don't even think that their chocolate(or hershey's chocolate) even actually tastes good. So that just leaves skittles and starburst. But I don't buy candy often anyways, so it's not a loss to me.

ugh that is soooo horrible. i have always felt like i was missing out because i have never had a MARS BAR (well ive had doves and stuff but the original mars bar). but now i am really glad.
You may think that I am a low and slimy jerk but this is my honest opinion.The people who do these tests obviously feel the need for them to be done. I would rather hundreds of mice die from tests than one human die because of an unsafe ingredient that Mars could have unknowingly put in their candy.
Also, It is true that people, even one, can make a difference. So I don't know why you are worrying about silly little mice who breed and multiply by the millions when there are still terrible human conditions and injustices in the world. Why dont you go help out and make a difference in your community for a start. I promise you that you will do the world a heck of a lot more good that way than by protesting candy.
wow. i never looked at it that way. low and slimy jerk? no way! but i have to say that if we are going to kill hundreds of mice, that human has to be worth it. if they were a stupid evil mass murderer who stole the candy from some small suffering shop, i'd let him suffer.
Still, it's inhumane. *Shrugs* Then again, the world's standards need to be fixed before that's really a problem, come to think of it. And I don't think you're a low and slimy jerk for stating your opinion.

GAH! idk. i wrote a weird story once about giant rats doing tests on 'lab humans'; i was trying to make a statement, but it just came off as being weird. :p
I'm a big fan of animal rights! Before the Europeans got to the states there weren't any mice. They were brought here and we gave them the conditions to breed. It's our responibility to protect them no matter how sick or disgusting we think they are. I don't eat any of those cadies but i'll certainly spread the word.

OMG!!! I WATCHED 'SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE' LAST NIGHT, AND ONE OF THE COUPLES DANCED TO THE DAVID ARCHULETA VERSION OF 'IMAGINE'!!! I WAS PRACTICALLY HYPERVENTILATING THE WHOLE TIME; I COULD BARELY EVEN PAY ATTENTION TO THE DANCE!!! (which was pretty amazing, too... XD)

should know that candymaker Mars funds deadly
animal experiments even though not one of the
tests is required by law, there are more reliable
human studies and Hershey’s, the company’s top
competitor, has banned all tests on animals.
Mars has funded cruel experiments in which mice
were fed a candy ingredient and forced to swim
in a pool of diluted paint. The mice had to find a
hidden platform to avoid drowning, only to be
killed and dissected later.
In another experiment funded by Mars, experimenters fed rats cocoa and
then collected their blood by injecting a needle
directly into their hearts—a procedure that can
lead to internal bleeding and other deadly
complications.
Mars also supported an experiment
in which baby mice were crammed into small
Plexiglas chambers and submerged for nearly five
hours in chilled water just to see if a chocolate
ingredient affected their breathing rate.
