We're really happy to celebrate member-authors accomplishments and facilitate the interaction of readers with writers. We discuss food, music, and of course BOOKS! Feel free to contact Muphyn or Marieke if you are unsure about anything.

Our extensive set of rules
As for specific rules, we don't really have any (other than be polite, respect each other's opinions and have fun). That's it.

Authors
Authors are free to self-promote their books under the Great Africa Reads: Authors topic but should refrain from self-promoting books under other topics unless it's clearly relevant to the discussion at hand. The same goes for linking to your personal websites and blogs. Please see the Goodreads author guidelines for guidance and/or speak to either moderator for advice on whether to post something or where to best post it. We will delete self-promotional posts that we deem inappropriate or irrelevant to the discussion thread, that are posted in inappropriate threads, or are duplicate posts.

Bookshelf
We love for members to add books to our group bookshelf but please mark them as "to-read" as the "read" shelf is reserved for books we have read as a group (e.g. on our Tour d'Afrique) or those that are discussed in the Great African Reads: Books or the Great African Reads: Authors threads.

Hi Muphyn, SInce several people have complained about struggling to get books, when we are voting, I wonder if it is worth indicating which books are out of print and which books are available on kindle? Thanks!
