Hey, Vampires are IN!

I know, right? That was the book you were talking about at our last book group, right Jackie?
Also: doesn't that vampire look horrifying?

Why, yes, it was the book we were talking about at the book group, Agathafrye. And the book teens have been talking about for a couple of YEARS.
As for the vampire, Edward, by the way: Yeah, creepy and not attractive at all. And fake, for that matter. But I'm not a teenager, so overall it's not working for me, anyhow.

Does anyone know if there are any local parties going on for the release of "Breaking Dawn?" I know Cleo's going to want in on that... we might have to go to the Powell's bash in Portland. If you donate blood, you get bumped up in line. :)
Yeah, Borders is having one, starting at 9:30 p.m., here's the address:

Cool, thanks. The Powell's one sounds so much more awesome, but I'm supposed to work the next day... hmmmm. Convenience, or awesomeness?
Anyone going tonight? Cleo surprised me and decided she didn't want to go, so I'm skipping it. I pre-ordered the book for her instead. I was going to do it at Orca, but it took them three weeks to get it last time (not their fault- there was a printing issue and the publisher only sent the copies they had to big box stores) and Cleo whined the whole time, so I ordered it from Barnes & Noble. The shame!
Jackie! True Blood...

I watched the trailer, and I have to say it looks pretty good. Guess I won't cancel my HBO just yet.

Hey, Kelsey! That's based on the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris: Dead Until Dark is the first one.
But I don't have HBO, so I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

You can come over! I'll record it for you. I remember you telling me about the books, so I might have to try to read at least a couple of them before I watch the show. I think the trailer is pretty rockin.
It's tomorrow night, but I blasted just made plans to go over my friends house for dinner! What about if I tape it and we can watch it together another night this week? I'm open any other night.
Sounds good! I'll check with Chris about if there's a night he'd like to have to himself at home.
I'll bring wine, if you like!

You don't have to drink the whole thing, K! It turns out any night is fine for me, too - so how about Monday, after dinner? Before other plans can get made?
I was kidding. Bring yourself, and anything else you see fit. I'll most likely eat or drink whatever it is, because that's how I roll.
Anyone else wanna come?

"Trueblood" viewing this week, Kels? Can I impose on you again? I promise to bring treats, although maybe not wine this time, because I stayed up waaaay too late after last time, I think because of it.
Yeah, come on over! We have a new dog, too. How about Thursday or Sunday night? I think I'm working on Wednesday until 9, and I've got the bookcart blinging program on Friday.
I think I stayed up because of the wine, too. It was good!
Also, we have a new dog now- she's big, but not scary...

I'll bring the second book, then. I finished Marked last night, so we can just keep swapping!
Yes, you told me about your new dog - I look forward to meeting her!
Thursday sounds good.

It's pretty good! Being an HBO show, there is quite a bit of gratuitous sex, but they did a good job with the cast and it seems like it's going to be a really interesting storyline...
I liked it, too, Nitescribe. I think they did a great casting job with Sookie, played by Anna Paquin. She's believably just a little off, because of being psychic.

Bahaha. We are so ahead of the curve around here.
