Teehee. Okay, so, let's talk genre.
Since I assume romance is out of the question . . . why don't we try mystery or suspense.

Sounds good to me.
Which would you rather do first: Plot or Characters?
I'm sorta feelin' a Clue rip-off or something like that.

Okay...
I kind of like the idea of setting it in the past...say late 1800's. Maybe a little Holmes kind of vibe?

Ooh, I like that. Dark, edgy, room for some really creepy scenes.
Hm...who will be our Sherlock Holmes and who will be Jack the Ripper?

Haha. You can be whoever you want. I don't have a preference. Although, you'd probably make a much more convincing villain than I would.

Ah, intriguing. I like it. Or, it could be the sweet 4'10" girl who works at the bookstore and never says a bad thing about anyone.

Propose. Culprit. Targeting. Characters. Can't. Okay, sorry. I'll stop. ;)
I like that idea. It's gritty. Okay, so are we doing a Holmes/Watson thing? If so, I call dibs on Holmes.

Hey, you asked, dude. Maybe you didn't ask for corrections on every word, but you had to know you were opening up a can of worms.

Ooh, I propose that we write in accents.

Careful, Asiyah. It takes a lot to keep this one's ego in check.

Lmfao. So what do you guys have so far?

Basically, here's our plot. It's the late 1800's. A Jack the Ripper type murderer is attacking orphans. A Holmes/Watson team are investigating.
@ Nate: Ooh, um...give me a sec. I'll have an awesome name.
This is set in London, yes?

Detective Duncan Murtagh and his esteemed partner Callum Acheson.
I don't mind when people cuss.Only if you do it every sentence then that's not cool.

Fine, Nate. I get to be Duncan.

Okay, so Detective Duncan Murtagh and his esteemed colleague Callum Archerson are working with Constable Nathan [Last Name To Be Determined] in an effort to find and thwart the evil plans of the new villain.
