The Experiment discussion

The world we live in seams pretty normal right? Nothing like those crazy fantasies we read, right? Wrong! 2,000 years ago a great war waged between the humans --the largest of the races-- and all other mythical races and creatures. Because of the great power on both sides, the war came to a standstill with no obvious winner. The mythical races/creatures decided it was time for the war to end, so they withdrew all magic from the humans and used it to mask/hide themselves from the humans to they could begin to live peacefully in separate "worlds," while still both occupying the same planet.

Now, rifts begin to happen in this magic separating the worlds and evidence of the fantasy world are coming through. In our roleplay, these rifts are noticed by both good and evil humans. There are also good and evil in the fantasy world. The evil guy obviously want to tear down this magic barrier, release chaos on the earth, wait until everyone has almost killed each other off and take control of the weak remains. But what do the good guys want? Obviously, not war. But is it still okay to keep the worlds separate? Is there someway that they could introduce the world to each other again without risking war?
