You can also work your other challenge reads in. Since January is also winter, things that take place in January can count... or Valentines, New Years... you get the idea...

Now remember, because this is a longer running challenge, it's easy to become complacent... I know I've done it! Don't let it get pushed too far on the back burner or you might find yourself scrambling on March 15th! (Again, I've been there)

Goal: Read 20 or more books that have a winter theme. The titles can have winter-related words, or the cover has a winter scene, or the book is set during and pertains to winter.
I will list the books as I go (don't want to box myself into a corner)!

I prefer to do categories than spelling a word. It's difficult to find options for uncommon letters and then if you don't like the book you have to decide whether to finish the challenge but read a book you don't like or to chuck the book and not finish the challenge. :)

I prefer catergories as well, I dead "U"'s & "I"'s coming up as I have prettu much no books for that!

U books to look for can start with Until, Undead, Under...
I - Into, In, Indian... just some suggestions. If you go to "add book/author" and type in one of those words, several books will appear.
But yeah... those are tough!!!

When I did the Spell Autumn challenge at the RRRC, I didn't like either of the 'U' books I read but ended up finishing them because of the challenge. I don't like to force myself to read a book I don't like but I also don't like not to finish a challenge and that's why I like the categories because they give you a broader choices of selections or you can just change the categories. When you are spelling something, you are pretty much stuck to that.

I am still doing that challenge! I am still waiting for my U book "Undead and Unwed" to arrive from my swap. It does suck when you are stuck with a book you don't like for a challenge, especially one that isn't easy to replace, I also find the geography ones hard to find as well, most the time it is luck that prevails in those cases!
I do love doing challenges though, I can't seem to help signing up for almost ALL the challenges i see!

All books should have a winter theme of come sort, or in some way remind you of winter.
Some suggestions -
Spell out words that remind you of winter, such as Snow, Winter, Blizzard, etc.
S - Seduce Me at Sunrise - Lisa Kleypas
N - Nolan, William - Logan's Run
O
W - Wanda Brunstetter - The Storekeeper's Daughter
Read only books with a set winter theme, such as all books must take place in a snowy location.
As always, YOU decide how to make this challenge work for you! If something reminds YOU of winter, it works!
The only restriction is that you can not begin reading before December 21st.
The most important thing is to have fun! :)
