Agreed :D I loved it too, the only short story book that he came out with that I really didn't care for was Nightmares and Dreamscapes. It was ok, but not as good as the others.

Yes, I have to agree with that too. However, I like The Skeleton Crew alot too. I really did like the Nightmares and Dreamscapes alot, but I did like Everything's Eventual a lot better.

Lol, Great! He is my favorite author. Maybe sometime you would like to come on my radio show called Kerra's Weekly Book Club and talk about some of his books that you like and opinions about them. I would love that if you would. It is still new and it is for just books, book topics, and for buddy reads. I will schedule a show for Friday April 22nd at 6:00PST time and at 9:00EST time if you would like to come on and be a guest on my show. If you are interested I will give you more information. Also I am going to send you a friend request :)

That is great :) When ever you have the time would be perfect for me. I won't post anything about the show until I knew you were ready and had time for it. Thanks for at least saying that you would be interested in doing it. I LOVE Stephen King. I think it would be an amazing topic to discuss.

I agree! I thought it was a good story too. However, the ending left you hanging, I mean you have a good idea of what the happened or could have happened, but I was like "darn" lol, at the ending. It was an amazing story though.
I think my favorite story out of the book was "That feeling, you can only say what it is in French" I really liked that story. I really don't remember it all the way because it has been such a long time since I read it, but I do remember that I liked it alot. I think the only one I really didn't care for so much was "1408" because I had watched the movie before reading it and I think the movie is way better. Which is weird for a Stephen King short story to have the movie be better than the story. That is really rare.

I didn't really care for the Nightmares and Dreamscapes too much and felt that out of the short story books he has came out with that that is the one that I least like. I thought Just After Sun Set was a good short story book though. Probably my favorite.

I also like the story "The Man in the Black Suit" :) That one was really good. I liked the Riding the Bullet too, but I hate to be left hanging with just your imagination or what you might think happened. I have a good idea of what happened, but I would have liked to know for sure. Not horrible though.

Yes, I also loved this book. I think that was one of the best stories too. Was that a story in the Nightmares and Dreamscapes? I think it was. Maybe I am getting two stories messed up :D But I think I know what story there is and if it is from the Nightmares and Dreamscapes then there is also a movie for that book that has that story in it. You should check the movies out that they made for that book. I kind of liked the story Rock 'N Roll Heaven in that book.

But that's just me
Full Dark No Stars, (his most recent collection) has 4 novellas that just knock Under the Dome right off the map (and again- that's just my humble opinion)

Wow thanks for letting me know that. I have been wanting to read Full Dark No Stars for a long time, but just havn't gotten to it yet :) Hopefully I will soon. I have Under The Dome too :) But I havn't read that one either yet. I am currently reading IT and I really like it a lot. But no you have me curious and I will have to read that sooner than I thought I would. Thanks!

I agree that some of King's strongest works are his short stories. Sometimes he can go on (and on and on) in his novels. 1408 was my favorite story of this EE collection and while I like some of the guy's novels, this is my favorite thing he's written.

Wow thanks for letting me know that. I have been wanting to read Full Dark No Stars for a long time, but just havn't gotten to it yet :) Hopefully I will soon. I have Under The Dome too :) ..."
Ooooh "It" that was one of my Very favorite books of his.. and then Needful things is my second.. You are lucky to be just reading them for the first time. I’m jealous! lol also Under the Dome was very good! Nice and Loooong just the way I like them. ;) Enjoy!

Awe thank you :) I started reading Stephen King when I was 16 and the books that I have read so far are: Misery, Cujo, Skeleton Crew, Storm of the Century, The TommyKnocers, Salem's Lot, and Duma Key. :) So far Duma Key is my favorite, but it is hard to pick a favorite out of Stephen King books because they are all so good! Lol, I am LOVING It! I am about 300 pages into it. Lol, got a long way to go seeing how there are 1,000 some pages, but that is one thing that I like about Stephen King books, they are always long and very enjoyable :) Thanks! I sent you a friend request, hope you accept and hope to talk to you more about Stephen King books!

I didn't even think about Different Seasons! I agree, that was a great book! I should add it to my reread list.

Thats funny you should mention Just After Sunset because I was just looking at it when I was at the bookstore! I need to add it to my to-read list and pick it up.

No I haven't picked it up yet but in my area it doesn't seem difficult to find. I looked at it at the bookstore yesterday. I ended up hitting the buy two get one free sale! I decided I had spent enough for the day and took my new treasures home. It was fun finding three books I had wanted to read all on sale!

For some reason found it funny and not to be taken seriously. I think king wanted to do a parody on mariage and divorce. DOn't you agree?

I read this book and 1408. I thought it wasn't bad. I sort of was confused and not scared by the movie. I remember thinking in the theaters if I really read the short-story since it was nothing like it. I found the tension in the film more scary than anything that was supposed to be frightening.

Really good. I liked that one. I remember thinking how he would have sounded screaming, "Eee. Eee." lol.

I thought that was a great story - I mean, completely crazy - and in the midst of all the blood, death, and violence, a couple going thru a divorce will still manage to find something to argue about lol
