Nonsense! It's important to have a supplies of books in case the geek goes down. I've picked up near 20 in the past month at bargain basement prices, and probably have a good 100 in the house unread.

I also have a good 300+ unread books on my nook, mostly classics or old contemporary histories (Herodotus, Caesar's Conquest of Gaul, etc) and giveaways.

So yeah, I could be set for awhile.

But I'm not

My to-read shelf is about 44 deep. That's part of the impetus for my goal to read 50 books this year. I want to read them all or make a huge dent into it.

At 44, that's about the same as my unplayed games list.

I used to have loads and loads of books... I may have lost some in the break up... I'd get a good handful free from a publisher in the DragonCon Exhibit Hall each year I attended... But that hasn't been in so long.

So maybe mine weren't all purchased but I have LOTS of unread books too.

My unread books probably number in the hundreds. As a good portion of my books are in boxes it's kind of hard to know/tell for sure.

At least I've broken the habit of buying more books than I read.

(And just thought of something I definitely want to read, though I don't know where it is - Mervyn Peake's Ghormanghast Trilogy.)

Hahahahaha. Light-weight. According to paperbackswap.com, which I joined to get RID of my books because I have pack-rat tendencies, I've managed to accumulate 239 books in my to-be-read pile. Plus the classics I've downloaded to my kindle..

So you aren't the worst, by far :)
